Shaun,
My only suggestion is that you buy something that is comfortable, which
doesn't always equate to "expensive", but mostly it does...
Re the sliders, i also have not got my knee down (other than the time me and
bike were not together and the two of us were sliding up the road) so i
would suggest that they provide a little extra protection even if never used
for the designed purpose?? If you are unable to lend the sliders to Dave,
an angle grinder can provide the desired effect, just remember to grind in
the right direction!!
Re looking good, you can be certain that you look better in leathers than in
the nude. Have you considered a BA t-shirt to wear under the new leathers?

Subject: [bikers_anon] Leathers
I am looking at getting a new set of leather and was after some opinions ( I
know there are a lot out there in this group).
So my chooses are.
Cow or Kangaroo,
Is the light weight of the kangaroo hide worth the extra?
Does Kangaroo wear as well as cow? I know it is stronger but how does it
handel dirt, oils, road grim etc?
Then I am looking at Gimoto (kangaroo and cow) and Tiger Angel(cow)
has anyone got or owned a Gimoto suit?
Knee sliders,
I have never managed to get my knee down so do I need them?
Will a suit look stuiped with out them?
Will I look evern stupided with knee sliders that are not worn? (I do now or
I could just give the sliders to David for a day)
Do I just look stuipd full stop?
Those you have seen my current leather will understand that I like to crash
in them so strong good, long wearing good.
So what are your thoughs.
