We had nice weather and a good turn out for our wisemans ferry ride on Sunday.
After a cruisy ride through Galston gorge we rode out to windsor via Cattai
ridge road. From Windsor we headed up to Wilberforce and turned right onto the
Sackville road. At the start of the sackville road a big sign greeted us with
the message "bridge to bridge powerboat race delays at ferry expected".. After
a few expletives shouted under my helmet we rode the short journey down to the
Sackville ferry where we had powerboats howling past us towards wisemans ferry.
After a short wait we took a vote and most people liked the idea of a short ride
so they could get back in time for the GP in China. Some departed there and the
rest of us fueled and headed up the Putty road to do the short but very
sweet and newly resurfaced bendy bits up to colo heights. Two continued on to
Broke. There where smiles all round so we rode back down to Colo and preceded to
do another lap up
to Colo heights. From there we rode down to windsor for lunch and a chat...
My apologies to those expecting to ride to Wisemans. To those who stayed on to
ride the putty road thanks for very enjoyable day..........
