The phone rings at 8.30am and Peter B wants a weather report closer to our
meeting point at Berowra. Its pouring rain on the Northern Beaches but I assure
him its dry up here (Waitara) what are you on about?
Lesson ……never ring ME for a weather report!. Of course by the time we arrive at
Berowra Mobil it's raining and miserable. We vote to ride on, yes some may say
mad but hey it's only water.
Attendees being Andreus, kindly pillioning my only child, David, to which we are
both ever so grateful. Then Pete 2up with Jan, Rachael, myself and tail end
driver, Andrea and baby Kias.
Through Berowra Waters and over the punt and onto Wisemans Ferry Inn we went. We
lost Andrea for a while as duty called….Kias wasn't willing to wait for a feed.
So we caught up with them later at the pub.
So after some eating some not, we deliberated over which way to head back as
outside still looked lousy. I think by this stage we were all wondering why did
we ever leave home but as I said it is only rain. One must think positive. David
couldn't have given 2 hoots he was loving his first road ride 2up!
Andre jumps into his leathers deciding to have his turn to ride and swaps with
Rachael to drive home. Kias has had enough, he no longer wants to play. So they
head back the way we came.
Leaving 3 bikes and 5 persons to enjoy mostly dry weather over the Wiseman's
punt through Spencer, the old Pac Hwy and home by 2ish.
I'm sure I can speak for Rachael as well, when I say thankyou so so much to Pete
and Andreus for attending today. Also to Andrea for being tail end driver. They
were ruled by 2 crazy women that just wanted to ride.
Again thanks guys!
Amanda
