my 10c worth ( i got ur joke steve)....over hewre shell only has
premium unleaded (but not optimax)..opti always ran shit in my vtr
(carby fed) & in nsw i never ran it in my cbr as i was told the same,
but over here ive run BP with no probs.....seems ok too, i was told
its the best fuel they have over here....but then again i often used
caltex/mobil in nsw & found it best...i just avoid cheap no name
brands & find it goes ok....

You really should not be using BP or Shell in your bike as I have just found to my cost. I just had my Bandit's carbs rekitted after consistantly using Shell...

FYI Optimax etc should be fine in fuel-injected bikes though. ... 20,000kms ... a ... my ... BP ... list ... reason ... on ... baddly ... and ... running ... ...

The problem you have with Optimax and Ultimate I think has been bought to light before. The petrol is a higher octance. EFi can handle the extra density,...

Fuel injection will not make any difference to the optimax problem, whats required is an oxygen sensor in the exhaust, which new hipo cars have but not bikes....
