Hi Luke,
I think I suggested the following in Another Forum (?)... was it you?
Anyway, grab a spray bottle of Febreez from the supermarket. It's a
bit hard to find lately but Coles and Woolies usually stock in the
cleaners/washing aisle.
This is purely a fabric odour masking agent. ... it does not clean,
nor disinfect, but is technically superior at masking smells. The
natty lil molecules latch onto the bad dudes and lock 'em up.
TRY TO REMOVE THE SMELL FIRST:-
Maybe start with a small bucket of vinegar/warm water and SOAK the
bastards over night. Yes, get that slutty smelly leather sopping WET!
Then rinse a few times, roll in newspaper to remove moisture. Then
wrap in more newspaper or towels and leave in dry shady spot. DO NOT
TURN INSIDE OUT.
It'll take a few days to dry, but no harm done. Once dry, get some
leather dressing on them (dont be bashful with the lube, they'll love
it... remember (quote)"Whatdya mean there's no time for lube!!??
THERE'S ALWAYS TIME FOR LUBE!"
By this time, maybe the febreez won;t be needed. I would have thought
a good soakin overnight should fix anything.
What the *&^*%^% did you do to these gloves to get them so smelly to
start with? Do you have leprosy of the hands or pus-filled
carbunkles ? Seek professional help :-) venienti occurrite morbo
