I have only just started commuting full-time now that I am no longer
working in the city (they moved me out to Rhodes!). I must say I feel
safer lanesplitting to the front of the line when the traffic is
stopped. I am always a green-light hound and am outta there the
moment the light is green (and there's no red-light runners from the
side streets).

I think it makes sense when the traffic is stopped, and you are out
of their way - if they've had a hard day I would rather be in front
of them and gone rather than around them when they're not thinking
straight.

Cheers,

Andrew
