Hello to all BA Members,

For convenience I have now updated the www.bikersanon.com
<http://www.bikersanon.com/> website.

There are now links for the Local (Sydney) times for the GP calendar. Simply
click on the link for the date and the race times will popup in another
window.

The Link attached to the host city will direct members to the related GP
site containing information for that race.

Example:

May 20th <http://www.bikersanon.com/pages/main.htm##> (France), Le Mans
<http://www.motogpmagazine.com/motogp-circuits/le-mans/>

Enjoy.

Regards

Yeap, you got it right Richard. How's the leg & head?

As for pics, their whole collection is now up at

  <http://tinyurl.com/3xw27x> http://tinyurl.com/3xw27x , Richard you only
have less than half of them so their will probably be more of yourself at
this site. For everyone else check out the crash folder at the above page
for the crash pics.

Please note I have only uploaded watermarked low res copies due to a
copyright issue regarding a photography course I'm undertaking. No I will
not be charging for full res but for now I do need to protect copyright. As
such none of these photo's can be reproduced and or reprinted for financial
gain yadda yadda yadda & I retain full rights. Requests for full res pics
should be sent to wiccadpics@... and not through this board/forum.
Please include the file name in your requests, I have near on 5,000 photo's
and growing on this site so asking for a pick of you in Blue group on the
red honda will not get a response. ;-) Requested photo's will be uploaded
to a file server and you will be sent a link and password to retrieve the
files as a batched zip file.

Doug, I'll have a DVD with a selection of pics watermarked with the BA logo
in one corner for use on the website with me on Thurs night.

Greg.

Just thought I would say thanks to Greg (please be the right name. I am sooo
hopeless with names!) for the pix of my decent crash yesterday!

For everyone else, I was the guy who crashed Sam H's old bike, which I
re-sprayed green... I met a fair few of you last year when I did my first OP
track day on my Red 05 ZX6R J Hope you all had a good day! I had a pretty
damn good day, apart from the crash, but hey it happens..

As long as you get to walk away, it is all good J

I'd love to know if anyone else got pix of me on the day, as I only finished
putting my bike back together the day before, and have no pix of it in
action! Cheers,

Hi all,
Looking to go to MotoGP this year for the first time and so seeking
advise on just about everything. Best route from Sydney, what tickets
to get, general or stand, if a stand which stand, weathershed value and
which weathershed, best place to camp or stay, what to bring, other
things to see and do, etc. All contribs appreciatively received.

Three sons will be arriving also by planes, trains and automobiles.
At this stage I am looking at a general 3 day pass with weathershed
somewhere and camping in the Highside camp ground so we can bring in a
vehicle if there is one.
A really good map showing campsites would be useful.

Ladies and Gents,

I haven't posted for a while or been on a ride, after a bit of a
personal hiatus I am back in the groove.

Just got back safely from my recent trip around Tasmania. My 9 1/2
year old son and I completed a 15 Day Motorcycle tour on an FJR1300.

We circumnavigated most of Tasmania and completed 2100 km in 11 Days
and saw most of the sights. Incredible as it may seem for Tasmania,
we did not get rained on once. Tas is in the grips of the same
drought as VIC, NSW and QLD. In total we did 3870km on road.

Agenda was

Devonport - Bridport - Fingal - Little Swanport - Port Arthur -
Hobart - Strathgordon - Derwent Bridge - Strahan - Cradle Mountain -
Stanley - Devonport.

Must mention 3 amazing roads- Cradle Mountain C132, East Coast A3/A4
and the A10 from Norfolk to Queenstown.

Most Amazing Places Visited

Strathgordon - maybe because of the perfect weather.
Fingal - Reminicent of Central NSW country.
Cradle Mountain
Stanley - the Nut

Any one who is contemplating doing a trip to TAS I fully recommend
it, just be warned buying food and grog (in restaurants, Pubs, even
Milkbars) is VERY EXPENSIVE. So buy your own groceries and prepare
your own if you want to save money.

See ya later

Richard

Dear Sean and Phil,

Thank you very much for introducing Greg to me. Due to thelong Easter holiday
and then Anzac day, I just could have my bike servicedyesterday and Greg is
truly the man. He noticed and fixed some parts that I’msure not all the
mechanics would do, like cleaning the top end of the forkswhich are completely
hidden under the fairing and he explained how dangerous itmight get if they are
not clean.

I am very happy with his job and from now an on he will bethe one who will take
care of my bike. Other than that I was amazed by theirfair price, although I had
to change both the front and rear break pads + afull service I still paid less
than my previous full service, not to mentionthat they did not charge me for
getting a loan bike from them.

I absolutely recommend him to anyone else and I’m verygrateful to you guys
for introducing him.

I hope to see you all in the next ride.

Take care and ride safe.

Cheers,

Kaveh

The roads in question are as follows

Bateman's Bay to Braidwood - Kings Highway
Braidwood to Moruya - Araluen Road

Last year I did the top end of Araluen Road (by mistake) and this road
I felt had some serious potential, though I am uncertian if the road
stays bitumen.
The reason for mistaken road was I wanted to travel to a spot on the
map called Countengany, avoid this road if you are on a sports bike,
lots and lots of dirt roads. Great fun in a car with the likes of a
super dirt highway.

Thanks,
Jason.

FYI...New roads works have just been completed in the park. If you
enter from Loftus (South Bound) it's about 2-3 minutes after the
visitors station. There's a fair bit of loose gravel on the road.
Enough to make my rear wheel slide and make me turn around.

Kings Hwy is all tar and fun, but the Araluen road turns to dirt about 2km past
Araluen. It's a while since i've done that road, the dirt was good, and it's a
very picturesque and winding run along the river for about 40km.
The Araluen pub is a great place for an overnight stop too.

Peter.

I have been down there a few times, riding myself and also on Pik's bike and i
think that its a good ride, the bumps are scary, although i dont know if they
would be worse for a pillion or rider, but in my guess i would say pillion..
There are some bends that caught me. i was going around a 35k bend and it just
tightened on me when i was expecting it to be like the others and i got caught
on the other side of teh road,,, (ooppsss)

Anyway i would say just go down there if you want to and take every corner as
its own and dont expect any kind of situation, take it all as it comes and you
should have some fun.. also i woudl take advantage of some really nice spots to
get off and stretch, and maybe give yourself a rest, it isnt tiring or anything
like that just that its good to take in such beautiful scenery. Good place to
take a lovely lady for a nice day out.!!!!!!

Anyway enjoy your ride where ever it may be.

Ride Safe and Have Fun.

Cassie

Andre
I have never heard of anyone getting knocked back for
the pipes being too loud. The stamp on the pipe might
be an issue because thats where the law states it must
be regulation.

I would suggest you send him to (or you go) and talk
to the people at Salter Automotive. Both Steve and
Louise are ducati owners and they are blue slip eRego
inspectors. Epping Rd Nth Ryde.

Tell them you are a Bikers Anon, GirlsRideOut, Sydney
Knight member and you know me. (That wont help but
they will be pleased to chat with you).

Oh and Daves suggestion about slipping on some
standard pipes is the best way around it..

Good luck..

Mark..

andre,
what happens is your mate will have to get a blue slip, instead of the usual
pink slip (which as you know is for NSW residents with NSW registered vehicles).
the blue slip is for vehicles from interstate being registered in NSW - even tho
i have my pink slip ticket, im not licenced to do blue's and as such, i dont
know how strict they (there are various shops around that are licenced to do
blue slips) are regarding aftermarket exhausts etc so yes i'd suggest you or
your mate make some enquiries.. and if need be, he can put a stock set of cans
on the S4R, and once rego is complete, whack the loud ones back on and he's set.

             Hi there list guru's,

It seems as though I'm being surrounded by Ducati's these days after

Rachael's recent purchase and now a mate has told me that he is moving over

here from WA.

He has a particularly loud Ducati S4R and he is wondering, what will happen

when he takes it for a rego inspection in NSW? The bike doesn't have a

catalytic converter and has a set of "track use only" mufflers. Let's just

say the bike is kind of loud. Is there any reason why the bike would not

pass a rego inspection and be denied a pink slip based on an aftermarket

exhaust setup?

After all, we all have loud bikes in the interests of road safety, right?

Or is he just an enviro-nazi, noise polluting, macchiato/latte drinking,

more dollars than cents, chicken-strip rear tyred, Ducati riding wanker who

should stay in WA?

Please help my mate afford a standard Ducati exhaust system by sending

checks or money orders direct to.....

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who replied. I'm originally
from New York City and not familiar with all the good riding spots in
and around sydney so it's really good when other riders help out.

Thanks again

Mick, do you know the details? It wasnt the rider lying in the middle
of the road in a straight section somewhere before Flat Rock was it?
