Dunlop Qualifier tyres - 120/70/17 and 180/55/17

Ordered for a customer, but the customer changed their mind, and the shop
doesn't stock Dunlops so we'd like to move them into a new home.

Retail prices are $206 front and $298 rear.

Asking $400 for the set, fitting can be done for $50.

Call Luke at Scotts Motorcycles if interested, 9587 0022.

email: bikes@...

Dave

ps this is open to anybody but we'd like to see these tyres go to a BA'er!

Will and Liam were born at 22:15 and 22:18 respectively last night and both
Mum and bubs are doing just fine.

Dad is really proud of course and Mum still can't feel anything except the
fact that she is a lot lighter now!

We look forward to seeing the first photo's of the Waters family.

Congrats to you both Will and Bia.

Hi all, someone backed into my ZX10 and knocked it over.
Unfortunately they didn't leave their details either. I am lookin for
a right front / rider footpeg for a 2004 ZX10. If anyone knows where
I can get one or has one, i am interested in purchasing it. I looked

So Californians can now buy a programmable engine management module
which can't be programmed with anything other than the factory

It's quite possible that the fine was the result of the PCIII box is missing 6

exhaust systems.

Subject: [Delegates] " Power Commander " Manufacturer Fined US $1 million

From a US web site

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) announced recently that it concluded
an investigation against Dynojet Research, Inc. At issue was the company's
"Power Commander" that can be used to alter the air-fuel mixture and engine
timing of on- and off-road motorcycles.

CARB said that the installation of these devices would adversely affect the
emissions control systems of vehicles that were certified by the original
equipment manufacturers to comply with the agency's emissions standards. Dynojet
has now certified a California version of the "Power Commander" and has agreed
to pay $1,000,000 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund.

DYNOJET RESEARCH, INC. CASE SETTLES FOR $1,000,000 The Mobile Source Enforcement
Section along with the Office of Legal Affairs has completed its investigation
against Dynojet Research, Inc. located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dynojet was
manufacturing an after market part called the "Power Commander" that would alter
the air-fuel mixture and the timing on off and on road motor vehicles.

By installing the Power Commander this would alter or modify the original design
of the motor vehicle and would affect the emission control systems that were
certified by the manufacture through ARB. As part of the settlement it was
agreed between both parties that Dynojet would not violate the Health and Safety
Code with respect to the installation, sale, offer for sale or advertising of
any device in California intended for use with, or as part of, any required
motor vehicle pollution control device or system which alters or modifies the
original design or performance of any such motor vehicle pollution control
device or system.

Dynojet has now c certified a California version of the Power Commander that is
legal for sale and use on California motor vehicles. Dynojet also paid penalties
in the amount of $1,000,000 to the California Air Pollution Control Fund as part
of the settlement."

I wonder what implications that this will have here ?

Cheers from

Hello, strangers! Hope you all had a great Xmas and a happy new
year...

Two things. 1: a friend of mine (Byron) has a decent sports bike for
sale -- here are the details -- contact me quixotiq at hotmail if
interested.

New battery, new seat and service, $6000. Blue, white and red.
Luggage rack. After-market pipe (I forget what sort -- Yoshi, I think)
2000 model CBR600F, 35,000kms. "Everything spotless," he says.

2: Anybody know of any decent motorbike storage? When I was in Europe
last year Feb-Aug I used Storage King, which was OK but an absolute
bitch to get the bike in and out of, due to some very narrow
alleyways/corridors in the facility. Anybody got any
recommendations? -- or, alternately, have a space of their own (in a
garage, wherever! )they'd like to earn some cash renting me 16 Feb-
late May (definitely, perhaps a bit longer). Again, contact me,
Fleur, at quixotiq at hotmail.com.

Cheers

You'll probably find the noise is the brake pads moving about in the
calipers. If the rattle is still there when the brakes are lightly applied,
you'll probably find that the retaining spring plates don't have enough tension
to hold the pads securely.

I bought this 20 year old Kawasaki 250 - the pre-Ninja Ninja. GPZ-250R, yes,

   "Z".

Goes great and is fun to ride. (paint scheme is black on black with black)

But - when it is parked, I check all the bits in the front; wheel, front

disk, front hugger-type guard... all seem tight. Nothing leaks or wobbles.

However, when I am riding, especially over a bumpy road (regular bumpy

Sinney road - not bush) there are these little rattles and noises, as though

   something is loose.

I'm not expecting complete silence, but what I DO hear sounds like something

is loose - nothing I can see IS loose.

The fairing also seems tight as a drum, should I take it off to see if there

   is some hidden little treasures?

Despite the noises - which also a rental Honda had - I'm really happy with

the bike. Four-stroke twin, DOHC, 8 valve, relined at 14,000!

Rinnnnnngggg! !!! Pulls like a tractor in first (OK not like a 1400cc

   tractor, but still...)

If the front suspension is "torn away", its likely to be a write off!

If the bike is not a write off, the other guys insurance company
agrees to pay the claim and they insure bikes they will pay whoever is

Hi all,
For anyone that lives in the Leichhardt area (inner west) there seems to be a
bit of a bike
theft spree going on at the moment, i lost my six week old daytona 675 last
night and a
mate of mine at the other end of leichhardt lost his nearly new buell last night
also. Both
were securely locked in off street parking.
Hope no one else will be missing this awesome riding weather at the moment.

Especially since you seem to be focusing on the front-end, check those
steering head bearings. Use the centerstand if it has one, or balance it
on the sidestand and rear wheel if it doesn't to get that front wheel in
the air. Turn the bars from lock to lock and feel for any notchiness.
Check for any forward/backward, left/right, up/down movement in the
steering head.

Rinnnnnngggg!!!! Pulls like a tractor in first (OK not like a 1400cc
tractor, but still...)

Any decent bike shop with a mechanic can organise a quote and do the
work. If youre going thru the other guys insurance you WILL need a
quote before anything happens. The quote will cost you money but that
should be included in the money paid when the claim is settled.

If the front suspension is "torn away", its likely to be a write off!

If the bike is not a write off, the other guys insurance company
agrees to pay the claim and they insure bikes they will pay whoever is
repairing the bike (whoever quoted the repairs). If they dont insure
bikes then they will probably pay you directly.

Can anyone help me with a pair of size 10ish off road boots, ( my foot is
275 mm long). ( yeah ,whatever).for a little expedition in Thailand at the
end of the month. Happy to buy, and would be interested in any other
recommended gear as I know nothing about dirt bikes. Know a little about
falling off, though. Am still looking for the helicopter box to tick on the
insurance form.. Peter B. mob 0416225280

For anyone that needs new riding boots or likes a bargain, Oxstar just got
sued by alpine star in the USA and have to sell off their Oxstar branded
gear fast. Theirs bargains to be had.

Boots cost an extra $40 US to ship to Aus, but the boots are selling for
less than half retail here. The
<http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=55> Oxtar TCS EVO RX
boots I just ordered sell here for over $500 when I tried them on at Actions
in the city.

I've found these guys to be the cheapest but by all means hunt around.
