Hi All,

Thank you for all the e-mails re: Bia's details I have now been in
contact with her (it is amazing how many of you are out there
lurking)

For those of you who don't know Bia was booked yesterday for not
displaying her "P" plate. The thing that is so upsetting is that she
had been displaying the plate up until approx 500 meters up the road
when it blew off. I can understand the police officers point that he
had no way of knowing. It was just his sheer arrogance and
determination to book someone that pissed me; he bluntly admitted
that the only reason we were pulled over was because we were riding
bikes.

Anyway I will keep you posted

Cheers, Rob.

Hi Guy's,

Thinking of making a formal complaint to the NSW Ombudsman - Police
re: Sunday's Ride mass pull over and the arrogant attitude of the
police officer who booked Bia (I think that was her name - not sure
if it's spelt right). Anyway the reason why I am wrting I was
wondering if anyone knows how to contact Bia?

Regards, Rob.

Well, if that wasn't a fun ride up the Putty today!

After six weeks of forced abstinece I had all but forgotten the
pleasures of the much loved Classic Wollombi Loop. Great ride, just
the fix! Thumbs up, Grant - get better soon! Trust me, the worst bit
is not being able to ride for a while...

Riding back, it occurred to me how many fun-filled kilometers I've
rode with the group. So many roads...corners.

Cheers for that!!!

Phil

BTW, anyone want to buy a 1998, 63K km, Ex Police, mechanically A1 OK
BMWF650 'funduro' with Panniers and Top Box (rumors tell it's magic)
I'd be happy with 5300$. http://www.angelfire.com/
band/beans/b-f650.htm

And, umm, anyone want to sell their VTR1000 in good nick for no more
than 8 grand?

Sometimes it can feel like things are always on somewhere else, so
Ren e-mailed Krissy at Dazzling Fancy Dress in Yagoona to see about
some sort of discount for people hiring out that way in an effort to
reward any hard party-goers for making the trip in. This was not
directly possible, but here is Krissy's e-mail anyway (Some might
know Krissy as the partner of Gronk, ex-president of the Norton
Owners Club). I'm putting the whole e-mail in, as Krissy has written
it in the spirit of the event:

Obviously if the winners are from our shop they could also get a
bonus refund on their return!

A Fancy Dress Karaoke Party for Riders and Their Friends

Aim: To bring together as many very cool people, who don't necessarily know each
other (yet) as possible.

Brought to you by: The incredibly fast and talented team of Ren and Stimpy
Wacing, worthy of a single handicap (how appropriate) trophy thus far, are
putting on a bash.

Who's Invited: The invitation is open to all Girls Ride Out, BEARS (British
European and American Racing Series), Ducati Owners Club and Bikers Anon members
and their friends.

Where: Coogee Legion Ex-Service Club

              266a Coogee Bay Rd.

              Coogee

(opposite the Coogee Bay Hotel. It is a small entrance next to the corner
chemist)

When: Saturday the 25th October.

Time: 8.00pm the music starts, however the bistro is open from 6pm if anyone
would like to eat there beforehand.

Door: 5 buckaroos. Pre-sold tickets are the preferred method to avoid congestion
at the door on the night. Tickets will be on sale at upcoming club events. If
you can help with their distribution, please e-mail Robyn at
ducati_lass@... (thanks for using your Saturday afternoon to do the
ticket design Robyn)

Local Rules:

*People will not be let in after 9.30pm, unless you are a member of the club. If
you do run late, the secret code for the doorman is "Ren and Stimpy's Party",
and it depends on how he feels from there, as part of their rules is members
only after 9.30.

*The club's system is pretty effective for problematic individuals - one warning
only and then the cops are called.

drugs at the club.

*And ya can't go in and out (of the club that is).

Music: Mad Les running the Karaoke (Triumph, BSA and Suzuki rider over time) is

environment. He is a good bloke and very approachable, but he is a mad dude -
perfect for our night of partying. I had another unit lined up, but then
contacted Les and he has provided us with a venue FOC and his own Karaoke system

and more enjoyable as no one really knows who's gonna win!).
Because I have on average 4 staff serving at the peak times it gets tricky
when sorting out the discounts for each person. As some people over hear
the discount and say they are part of that party as well. And when you

Now Tom,
You are a veeerrryy naughty boy, associating DOC with coffees etc., falling into
labelling and Urban myth. there is a small group who call themselves the latte
committee for various reasons, and that's fine, others do not follow that ilk.

For example, I was in the tat shop this afternoon and Tony offered me a coffee
between inks, I said no, as I don't even like coffee/tea.

One of the BA members has just done a great write-up for the Moto Duca which
encapsulates the non-reality of such things.
We've had a recent example of how some things are easily misinterpreted, so even
in jest we have to be careful, so I would bags that we let all be and avoid any
labelling, even in jest, whether of clubs or bikes or bike types or brands, as
e-mail is a pretty crappy medium for such.
Call me whatever, that's fine, but persons vary ;-)

BTW - the Fancy dress Karaoke night is Saturday the 25th October folks, keep it
free and come along, I'm just working on the official details over the weekend.
Please don't expect me to make any sense that night ;-)
Cheers,
Doc

Once again I am trying to sell my much loved NOS Bandit, this time
for a SFA, need money to live.
$9,000 buys you a LOT of MC,(complete with ALL the standard bits, 2
bikes in one really) too much done to it to bore most of you with.
Anyone up to the challenge?
How big are your balls?
Tell your friends!

NOS Rob

PS THIS BIKE IS TRICK!!!!! - see pic in for sale section

Sundays meeting point for the Bikers Anon ride to Wollombi via the
Putty Road is the Mobil Servo at McGraths Hill at 9:30 for 10am, (not
the Petrol Plus as previously advertised, or the cafe used in the
past).

Sorry for any confusion caused.

Thanks for the tip.

I'm not sure which part of hot and sexy sexually transmitted disease has to
do with motorcycling?

(gotta love these spammers)

Hi Whippo

There were some rumours that we were unwanted at Trentino's before planned
rides, however, these have been found to be just that, rumours. However,
meeting at such a laid back, relaxed place makes it very difficult to
commence a ride as we are always waiting for people to get their coffee's,
breakfast etc and end up leaving 15-30 minutes later than planned.
Therefore, the committee has decided (at least for this calendar of events)
to meet at Mobil Petrol Station at McGrath's Hill (not Fuel Plus, which was
mentioned in the reminder notice) to ensure that everyone has the
opportunity to get a full tank of petrol before we leave and proves to be
much easier to get away from on time.

Cheers
SJ

Hi all

Just to demonstrate convincingly to all and sundry, that any bike is
welcome at a BA ride, (dunno about vespa's tho) I went out and bought
a new one.

Yes my faithful steed, the 600 Shadow is out, the Roadstar XV1600 is
in.

When i next lead a BA ride, i might be able to go at the front now
hey? :)

Seriously; final numbers are required for the Kangaroo Valley weekend
away by this Sunday 31st, please go to the database on this site if
youn wish to book, there is a reasonably detailed brief written up on
our main web site if you want more details.

As usual and as Kiwi Rob pointed out, this weekend will be a cracker
so join us if you want to mix some nice riding with some serious
socialising, BSing whatever, hic!

Cheers Hughsie

Hi there
Just wondering why we no longer meet at the coffee shop at Windsor,
for the times I have been on rides with BA it is a great place to
have a cooffe before heading off. Did 'we' upset someone there?
Cheers
