Im off to the track this weekend and a mate im going with said he
would pay for fuel and new tyres when i own my own race team.

So im gunna make up a few crew pit passes and stickers and shit as a
joke. I just need a design for it. Its gunna be WTR Wake Twin Racing.

I was thinking the W could be made up of 2 v-twin engines. But seeing
as i have absolutely no artistic skill, i was hoping someone here
would be able to help.

Any ideas and shit welcome

Any takers.

I agree it's just cost.
The same council has just resurfaced my local street the same way.
That doesn't mean we have to like it though - I understand the
frustration.

... at least if you're going up OPH any time soon.

The resurfacing job there has turned the place into a nightmare. I felt
like a six year old arriving at his favourite playground to see the
place in a smouldering ruin. Arseholes!

I would like to suggest that the selection of resurfacing material has
been made with slowing down bikes in mind. Even in the bit past the
cafe, which has been down for a year or more, it still feels crap. I
think it will be about two years before the surface is "knee-downable"
again.

And might I add, why did it need to be resurfaced anyway?

*Shrug*. Yet another reason to head to the track. Pass me my one piece
suit ...

You're right neka, not all cops are bad. In fact, most are OK guys and girls
just doing a hard job. I still think the Friday night puppy was a wee bit
unreasonable but I guess feeling like a potential target day-in and day-out
for every nutter out there must distort one's perspective occasionally.
But there is ONE little bitch of a cop whose arse I'd like to see kicked
hard, because she created a situation from nothing ie made a mountain from a
grain of sand. But it was a case of women sticking together and perpetuating
the doctrine that "Two wrongs make a right". The little bitch will probably
make Commissioner one day!! Enough said.
I wonder if "the new kid" has a name.
Stay safe.

Hi All

I have just joined this group in order to do some rides. I had a look at
the two rides that you have listed on the website but the color map does
not seem to exist as I get an error when I click on the link. Does anybody
have a copy of this map or can you send me the correct link

Thanks

Offer to use a *reputable* escrow service. Simple as that. If he/she
baulks, assume it's fraud.

Escrow services ensure that your money does not make it to the seller
until you have confirmed satisfactory receipt of the goods. If the
goods don't show up, the escrow people will give you your cash back.

A prominent ebay scam not long ago was the seller offering a fake
escrow account and nicking off with the money. Be aware of that too.

Ask them for the current Aussie rego so you can check it through REVS.
Ask for the VIN number.

Rgz,

Luke.

please do so.

Give me a call should you like to come along, friends welcome.

preapproved bidders only

located in Melbourne but a UK suburb
ebayer is registered in the UK
1996 miles
there is no rego plate in the photos
160 Hp ? doesn't a busa have more than that ?
5 year warranty , who has ever heard of 5 years on a bike ??

remember with ebay if it seems too good to be true then it prob is

try emailing them and almost guaranteed they want you to send money via
western union

Reminder to all, bookings please! This is a big job!

Just a brief outline for booking information at this stage, a full
ride brief will be forwarded by email as usual to all bookings on the
BA Yahoo data base.

The ride will leave from Uncle Leo's Crossroads, through Picton,
Southern Highlands, Bundanoon, Tallong to Hughsy's property, "Stony
Creek" situated just north of Bungonia, we will cover only about 5
km's on the M5 Freeway.

This is a road vehicle supported camping trip, there will have a drop
off point/s in Sydney for anything you do not wish to take on the
bike eg tents, airbeds, sleeping bags, beer etc. All will be
collected and arrive before you do as well as returned following the
weekend.

The trip will be catered for BBQ dinner and breakfast, there will be
a kitchen marquee, esky's full of ice, all crockery cutlery etc
supplied, costs should be about $20 per head TBA.

There are proper communal "flushing toilet" and hot shower facilities.

Evening to be spent around a covered area and open fire, I have now
confirmed our live entertainment with a gig from Lugh Ford, singer,
songwriter & guitarist and he's real good too so we will erect a
stage and PA system as well.

So this weekend is shaping up to be a corker so make your booking and
we will take it forward from there.

Cheers for now Hughsy

I dunno, I reckon it might be a case of a hijacked ebay account. The user
was registered in the UK, feedback transactions (that are still viewable)
are in the UK, and all the purchase/sale amounts are for $5 items.

3 day auction with no reserve... unrealistic starting bid... pre-approved
bidder restrictions... never sold anything of value before... distance
travelled listed in miles, not kms... UK ebay registration... Location:
Leicestershire, Australia/Melbourne (ever heard of it?!?)...I would be wary.
If it sounds too good to be true...

In the US, hijacking ebay accounts to list fictitious bikes for sale is
pretty common. Usually they demand a hefty deposit up front, and you never
hear from them again.

Then again, I might be wrong! Just don't send any money sight-unseen.

Caveat emptor. My $0.02 :-)

Cheers,
Nick.

Do you think this is for real. The machine looks real nice

Ebay Aus Item number: 2457374552

You are bidding on a showroom new 2003 Suzuki Hayabusa, 1996 original
miles. No dings, dents or scratches -never dropped, raced or done
track days! It runs, rides and looks perfect,it handles like a dream
and the 160 HP gives you a real kick, and it has been cleaned after
each ride . The bike has not been abused whatsoever and I have not
even begun to explore the speed it is capable of. It was purchased
new from a Suzuki dealer and has been garage kept and never ridden in
the rain. After market items: Yoshimura RS-3 chrome pipes, which give
the bike a lovely resonant sound, Chrome wheels which accents the
flawless silver/gunmetal finish beautifully. It came stock with black
wheels, and these were exhanged for the chrome ones. Last but not
least, this bike has a TRANSFERRABLE 5 YEAR WARRANTY purchased by me
at the dealer. It covers everything from the front to the back,
excepting normal wear. Unused rear seat and grab rail included in
sale.

Yup,

Can only second Sean's experience. Talk to Dominik or Greg. Both know
their Hondas inside and out. They'll also answer all your questions
and will be more than happy to hear about your lap times ;)

Congratz to the new bike BTW!

sweet..nice choice of ride....ne way i cant help with the service,
but i can give u sum advice...MAKE SURE THEY CHECK/TIGHTEN UR HEAD
STEM BEARINGS!!..my old dealer i dont think he use to do it...a lot
dont i believe...after i get my bike back now (bill's at adelaide)
the bike feels brand new, they check & tighten EVERYTHING, like it
should b done, clutch, brakes, headstems, chain, even the footpegs get a
lube & checked...i kno they r very good (if ne 1 here reads in
adelaide i cant recomend them highly enuf), whereas sum other places
ive had servicing done over look a few things, plus wen i had my
headstems replaced at 34000km they were really bad, from not being
checked enuf, ok so it was only $200 to fix, but if treated right, u
wont have to do it as much..make sense??
i like to write a list of things i want checked (tho my mechanic
gives me a list of wot hes done) and if in doubt i ask if it was
done....as i say, a good mechanic can save u a bucket load of $$ down
the track, so find a good one, an stick with em!!
a gr8 mech will also check stuff that isnt on the "to do" list!!
neka
p.s. hope thats of sum use...sum1 else will have an idea of who is a
GR8 mech in syd im sure...

I get excellent service from Cycle City at Blakehurst, they're a
Honda dealer, so no probs with warranty work. One of the mechanics,
Greg worked on my CBR every time it was there. In fact ive organised
to get my new Gixxer serviced there and they are buying maunuals etc
to read up on the finer details of the bike.

Its possible that the good service i get is because i spend a lot of
money there - 9 services in 2 years, plus about $2000 worth of other
work. However they have 2 free loan bikes - first in first served,
have happily given me free advice, took my word for it that some
warranty work was needed without test riding the bike, have offered
to look at a second hand bike for me without charge, have done minor
fixes and not charge me until the next service etc. They also gave me
approx 10% off all work, but I think that was because i bought the
bike from them new!

They are probably not the cheapest place around, and they dont wash
your bike etc, in fact they complain if its too dirty :), but they do
good work. They sent my brake discs to Adelaide to be skimmed because
they didnt think any of the places in Sydney that do the work were
good enough!

I know Phil S takes his Hondas there too.

They're a fair way from Ryde though. Princess Highway, Blakehurst,
just before King Georges Road intersection.

In general I would avoid anywhere that has a heap of
mechanics/apprentices as your bike will be worked on by whoever is
free. My gixxer went in for its first service at this sort of place
and came back with ?cross threaded? swingarm spool holes - now my new
$30 spools will not screw in. Just one of the reasons im going back
to Cycle City.

Hi All,

I decided that i needed a present so i went and bought myself a cbr600rr. It
isnt new, but has very low kms and is due for its 1k km service.

I havent had a bike serviced in NSW before so I was hoping someone could
recommend a Honda service place that I could take my bike to. I live near ryde,
but dont mind taking it further away for good quality service.

thanks

My previous suggestion about testing if the fuel cap breather isn't blocked was
really too complex.
A simpler way to test is to open the fuel line (disconnect) so that it can drain
to a suitable container. If there IS a bloackage, the vacuum formed in the tank
will slow then stop the flow.

Its hard to give anything except vague times. Depends how much we
stuff around before we leave, how long the coffee queue is at Bald
Hill/Stanwell Tops, who's riding, how hungover they are, etc, etc.

But we will be at the pub around lunch time.

If you cant find us when you get there give me a ring.

BikersAnon are going diving at Foster on Sunday Feb 15th. This local dive is
intended to familiarise you and be a little bit of fun as well. We'll also
be going into Manly after the dive for dinner.

This Dive Refresher is on for 'anyone' who would like to join in. You must
already hold an "open water dive ticket" to do a scuba dive. If you don't
hold a dive ticket you can still come along for a snorkel.

When: Wednesday Feb' 4th, 6pm (be as early as you can!)

Where: "Plunge Diving" 176 Sydney Rd Fairlight (near Manly)

Cost: $55

What: We'll grab some gear and head off to Shelly Beach for a twilight dive.
We will be accompanied by a dive instructor who will be there to assist you.

Please be at the shop by 6pm sharp! If you can get there earlier then please
do so.

Folks,
The old pacific highway has been tar sprayed for approx 4k's south of the
Road Warrior Cafe from the top of the hawksbury hill leading up to the
straights just before Mt White. That section was being done today. Yesterday
they did a similar length section north of the weigh station. Both are
signposted with the usual car in a skid "Slippery Surface" signs. The
lollypop man said they swept the northern section yesterday but it still has
loose stones on it. Be careful!

Regards,
Warren
