In a short drive through Sydney today I had a number of cars change lanes on me
without looking or indicating. I also went as close as possible to crashing
without actually crashing (front wheel locked, big bar weave and bent my gear
lever back with my leg) when a car started turning right across me at an
intersection ... and I was only doing 40!

Take it easy out there people. Xmas drivers are scary drivers!

I have a pair of mens black cargo style draggin jeans size 36 that are now too
big for me. They are in as new condition and have only been worn a few times.
If anybody is interested in buying them they are going for $100.00

Hey Victor

We usually work it out on the day but here's a possibility:

Start 10am from BP Pymble, travel along Mona Vale road - turn off at Terrey
Hills and travel down McCarrs Creek Road, past Church Point to Mona Vale, then
head along the back roads past Newport Arms to Avalon via Prince Alfred Parade,
Hudson Parade to Clareville and Avalon - get back on Barrenjoey Road and head to
Palm Beach to "home and away" sights. Stop! then head back over Palm Beach
"heights" - Florida Road to Whale Beach, Avalon and around the Bilgola bends and
back to Newport Arms for a well deserved drink.
Very scenic ride and suitable for L & P's. its our "Hollywood ride" to end the
year.
See you then
Sue Spring

Not only that mate, but the "Pigs in Space" are back with a Cessna and
their stopwatches. Apparently they're going to patrol the major
highways, starting with the section of the Hume highway near Goulburn.
What a joke - that stretch of road must be one of the most heavily
policed areas in the country.

It was a waste of money in the '80s, and it'll be a waste of money now.

It was great day out. Good group with a good pace, perfect weather (sunny but
cool in the shade) and good food without delay at O'Connell.

I even survived the fire truck trying to kill me. Its amazing how well the
brakes and tyres work when you REALLY need them.

It was a shame to leave the pub at Kurrajong at the end of the day.

Don't know if this has been mentioned before but here goes. Last night on my
way home I had the displeasure of watching the camera on Penant Hills Rd at the
Beecroft Rd intersection flash more than once and it wasn't for anybody running
a red light. There is no warning signs which makes me think it is under testing
as the legislation is that speed cameras be sign posted.
So the draconian interference from our political know-it-alls continue.
Safe travels and Merry Christmas to you all.

If you're in Sydney I like the national park south of Cronulla... Has a good
variety of turns.

There tends to be a high police presence through there though, especially on the
weekends.

In terms of losing your licence, I guess it really comes down to you and how
fast you choose to go :)

Enjoy your new bike!

I'm so glad there aren't any real buses, trees, telephone booth or park
benches out there on the track. I freaked out when I watched that for the
first time.

A strong message although concentrating on the negative aspect of riding.
Not everyone crashes do they?

I still like the one from The Motorcycle Council. A positive message and a
happy ending.

This year's Xmas party came and went at Andreas' house on Sat night. From my
perspective, it was a huge success, lots of smiles and chatter and laughing to
be heard. The venue was superb and Andreas offered a graffiti wall which
everyone had a go at - all night - outdoing each other. A few of us got dressed
up as Bikers, Bitches or Babes and took on our roles. The food was plentiful,
thanks Greg and Bill for cooking, and most people got either tattoed or flashing
badges as prizes. Peter Barnett won the BA Trophy for Best Member of the Year,
just one vote past Bill. The band (consisting of Mike, Steven and Peter B. on
percussion - and Mozz as vocalist) were fantastic and played into the early
hours of the morning. As usual, the kindergarten ensemble played along and many
sang? Graham supplied the awesome lights and Peter built a solid stage. The
night air was warm, the alcohol flowed and everyone seemed to have a good time.
Bill won the best dressed Biker (more like bogan) award and Charlies Angels also
took best female.

A great way to end the year and looking forward to more rides and soon - see you
on the Oberon run on 13th or Palm Beach on 20th

PS I have started a photo page in the yahoo groups - please add your photos as
many of my photos are blurred???
Cheers
Sue

Ok, we all know that when we see a pair of shoes hung over power lines that it
indicates a drug dealer's house.

But today when riding south along the old road I caught a glimpse of a pair of
black motorcycle helmets tied together and suspended about 15 metres up in a
tree!

Please feel free to theorize on the meaning.

I will be there!

And the important parts of the band will be playing "unplugged". No need
for the earplugs then.. although, it might be safer to keep your lid on at
all times.

So bring some straws too.

If you haven't sent your RSVP please do so ASAP. We can't cater for you if
we don't know you are coming :-)

Please note we are providing the basic bbq needs (plastic cutlery & cups)
from 6pm, so we suggest you bring your own if arriving beforehand.

Plus don't forget your preferred meat and drink with chair and glass if
required.
