The primary purpose of the Brisbane Peace Group is to promote the cause of peace between peoples and nations of the world, and to oppose the use and threat of violence and aggressive force in pursuance of governmental policy.

Aims & Objectives: the aims and objectives of the Brisbane Peace Group are to:
* Promote the use of peaceful, non-violent methods of conflict resolution;
* Advocate research into the problems of war and disarmament;
* Encourage the adoption of non-exploitive, non-oppressive policies by governments;
* Support the principle of justice and freedom for all people;
* Encourage freedom of thought and expression, and the right to peaceful protest;
* Support social movements that confront military powers and the technologies of violence and terror, and that work for the survival of the human species;
* Oppose economic exploitation and colonial domination.
