Hi Folks,

while this is a Canberra list, there may be people interested in pursuing user
experience (UX) work in Sydney, or you may know someone that is already Sydney
based who is interested.

I hope you will join me in applauding NSW DET for wanting to engage UX people on
a permanent basis - that they (and many Commonwealth departments) are seeing the
value of putting UX people on permanent staff at a fairly reasonable salary is
encouraging for the whole industry - a recognition of our worth.

The NSW Department of Education and Training needs user experience design
professionals ­ or those with a strong propensity for this kind of activity
and who can show relevant experience and maturity to make a case of
sufficient equivalence. Three positions are soon to be available in Sydney,
Australia, just a short stroll away from the Opera House and Circular Quay.

The attached document is a preview of the user experience design and
management positions soon to be advertised. Until such time as they are
