The next Canberra IA Cocktail Hour is Thursday 26 June 2008. Darren
Menachemson, Director of Design at the Australian Customs Service, is
going to be speaking about Design Visualisations.

Design Visualisations are information products that turn design
concepts into highly visual narratives early in a project lifecycle.
Design Visualisations enable decision-makers, stakeholders, users and
the project team to understand, challenge and refine complex
solutions-to-be.

The presentation will cover:

* what a visualisation is (and why they’re brilliant);
* how you make one;
* who needs to be involved;
* how you get them to an audience; and
* what happens next.

It will be relevant for information architects, interaction
designers, user-centred designers and information designers. Those
who are interested are welcome to join us afterwards for an informal
dinner in Dickson.
