This may be an issue even when everyone does follow @iacanberra.
I believe that Twitter should be reliably considered unreliable – that is, if there is anything important to say, it should be said in
more than one place. I’ve seen so much weird stuff in the last month of being a heavy twitterer – where two people sitting in the same room get wildly different sets of traffic in the one day – that I would not recommend it for anything approaching essential
communication.
