Loveworks at Cockatoo Island Festival.
Cockatoo Island Festival is a new 3-day in Sydney Harbour. 8 stages, comedy,
cabaret, art and literature exhibitions, gourmet food restaurants and stalls,
market, nightclubs and more! See www.cockatooisland.net for details. Loveworks
has been asked to organise the Pampering Palace, which will offer Massage, Ka
Huna, Reflexology, Energetic Healing, Iridology, Kinesiology, Polarity,
Homeopathy (for our natural medicine dispensary) and more. Treatments are
charged at $60+ an hour, and insured therapists receive half. The remainder
goes to the Harbour Trust. Therapists can commute by ferry daily or camp in the
marquis at night, and will receive a free pass worth $230 and a Loveworks
certificate which can be used as a reference for work experience, clinic hours,
and Continuing Professional Education. Uninsured qualified therapists can work
as volunteers - and we're working on free meals for them. Preference is given
to therapists who can work the whole 3 days, but do apply even if you can't. It
should be heaps of fun! They're expecting 35,000 people! For those of you not
