In the midst of so many festivals.

I have been away and so moderation has been in groups lots

It is my aim to minimise emails and keep quality.

So I ask if you have regular weekly / monthly events that you:

"offer people contact you directly for regular information".

(you will need this for approval)

I have just returned from festival number 4

The first was Handsonskin @ Turtle Camp

The theme was water, as is fell from the sky.

This served only to enhance the experience.

As a large group of people moved into a smaller space.

To share food, drum and dance. The energy lifted

Thanks so much for the experience Keith and crew.

The second took me to Bourke (YAAMMA). Where I discovered my repairs in
Melbourne to my truck where only short lived.(technically speaking I run
outa oil it grabed a piston maybe a bottom end and caused a heap of blowby
makin it run crap)

This caused me to require a new engine in Bourke. Now the festival, was
Incredible, Brains help was invaluable. Mixing sound on stage all day, so I
could connect each new performance.

The last Festival left lasting impressions both on the community and who
many consider trouble kids.

These kids where continually engaged were resources where available, each
had an opportunity to shine, Beat boxing, dancing and construction.

The festival was a little smaller this year as a result of being outside of
school holidays but the quality was much higher.

Thankyou to Michael who travels from Nimbin each time with 4 crew, in what
would be considered a complete labour of Love, My hat off to you. Gidgee
guest house Chris and Chrissie day in day out living Yaamma(as do the crew
in the Yaamma office), Thanks for the use of your space while fitting the
new second hand engine.

Next came Sydney ConFesters the Jewel, A festival model that defies gravity.
A self running festival that is energised by a select few that is completely
sustainable.

To be feed 2-3 meals a day over a 5 day period for an entry of $60 almost
defies logic. Using tanked filtered spring water that (as the beatiful
Sophia would say) " Its Just Delicious"

Hot shower hot tub hot food and Hot workshops followed buy a random night of
music and dance. Under 4,000,000 Star Accomodation.

Finally Back west again Nymagee (past Nyngan),

Its more than just a country music festival. It is a peoples festival with
top class performers and a high level of skill in planning running and
building. Running every 2 years 150kms from any where .

In a place that is a dessert, dryer than Bourke. I found myself wondered how
I could get Brian to the next one. With 80 hours on duty (onsite) and I was
ready for more. I guess Im gonna catch up on sleep soon. But i still got
some washing and unpacking to do till then.

Thanks for being such a great Fluid group. I look forward to your
contributions about and Gatherings and festivals as they should arrive.

Should you Know of any festivals requiring sound light or Marquees Let me
know

PS Confest is moving from Deniliquin to Moulamein and is having a working
bee around Melbourne Cup.

Give me a Hoy if you would like to plan a road trip

PPS Check for new Pictures soon in
