Aloha all,

Well, only two days of ConFest left to go now and I must say that I
have had a wonderful time. I had anticipated that we'd have only a
small turnout after the shocking weather at last year's one but it
was surprising to see we have had nice weather and a healthy turnup
of new first timers as well as some of the regulars.

Quite possibly the best highlight of the event was the bodypainted
nudist wedding in the arts village with the tribal drummers
providing the music. The designs were completely awesome! :-)

It was great meeting up with Benny Menczer and Viola Morris again,
as well as David Cameron and Grant Waldram who have done a great job
in the first aid tent.

One of my goals this year is to host a Brisbane leg of Confest
sometime in November once the school and uni holidays start,
possibly as an alternative to "Schoolies Week". If there are any
people on here who ahve a bit of knowhow with event planning and
management who can give me some tips and advice on how to run a
similar event (like Sydney's conFest and the ConFab swim parties in
Melbourne), then your advice would be very much appreciated.
