I remember the beauty of the music at Easter Confest: Chai tent, so many nice
little bands, acustic bands, I mean. Paradise.
And, two nights in a row, the beauty of 30th or so musicians, sitting at the
edge of the tent: drums, violins, flutes... like one body, hours and hours, and
hours, different musicians entering the body, and then leaving it, and the jam
going from blues to folk to just drums to Celtic to Arabian...
Paradise.
I remember also somewhere I think near arts there was something similar to red
beach, where there was some sort of big drummings, which would do for something
similar to techno.. it was cool.
I do also remember about one hundred people sitting right off the chai tent, in
a circle, singing and play hippie chants.
Drums would not affect this, there was a nice balance. Drums would be playing
further away. Paradise.
The spirit of the land was singing.
And how about this last NY confest?
Guys, the problem is not JUST amplified music. The problem is that it seems a
forgetfulness of what confest is and therefore of what music at confest should
be.
