Hey all I'm Jake...
I should say I don't spend a great deal of time online as
I'm a very busy fella! My weeks generally vary greatly but usually start with
teaching a music therapy class for physically and mentally challenged people
every monday which has got to be one of my favourite things. My crew are an
awesome bunch and we've got some really cool sounds happening.
Tuesdays and wednesdays I work as a teachers aid in a
behavioural school for boys and with Aboriginal youth teaching bush tucker,
bush medicine and local and Australian history.
Thursdays I do bush tucker shows, talks and lectures in
pre-schools, primary schools, high schools, tafes, Uni's and many other
orginisations. Thursday nights I run an open mike night/musos night for amature
and proffesional musicians at the Union hotel/Pulse night spot in Gosford and
have been doing so for the past 6 years.
Weekends if I'm not playing original music or covers in
pubs, clubs and festivals then I've gone bush. Some of my favourite places are
Rocky ponds between Woy Woy and Wondabyne, the Watigan mountains 1 hr Nth west
of Gosford which runs through to Newcastle and Kuringai national park.
I have also spent time with Aboriginal communities learning
and sharing knowledge in Kalumburu W.A(Kwiini people), Tennant Creek N.T (
Waramungu), Bathurst N.S.W (Wiradjuri) and locally with the Darkinjung,
Guringai and Dharuk people.
I love to learn by spending time with people and have spent
the last 20 or so years fine tuning my survival skills and uncovering knowledge
and gaining experience in the University of the bush. I would have now spent
over 1000 nights in the Aussie bush and about 400 of those in my secret cave in
Deerubin which is nothing short of paradise!!
One of my goals is to establish myself as a nature
documentarist and I have started getting as much footage of my bush survival
missions and day trips into the beautiful mountains and waterways of this
wonderful country. I recently completed my first doco called "bush tucker
and the mystery of the Kariong Heiroglyphs" You can buy it now online at
www.mmad.myshopify.com So if there's anyone out there who can seriously help me
accomplish that dream I am focused, pumped, excited and ready!!

understand any of the meanings to this life (there's more than one) then they
just are'nt paying attention!"
