I Just noticed I forgot to mention
This is for SYDNEY CONFESTERS
starting in 3 of weeks
  original message follows with alteration:

EVER WONDERED HOW THEY GET ALL THAT STUFF TO JUST WORK.
If you have been to a confesters gathering in the past
you may have noticed that there is a lot of equipment
That some how becomes assembled and fully functional overnight
to create a small village capable of feeding nurturing and c0-creating for
over 1000 people.
This task is now Growing
We are looking for some key people who are Passionate about this project
to assist/learn/teach/duplicate this task so it can be shared by many
the following is a brief list of tasks that happen before during and after
the festival
We also looking for people who can assist in gathering resources/other
people to do these great activities.

Track Inventory of equipment (infrastructure).
There are 100's of items

Demonstrate/teach/monitor/learn the assembly running and dismantling of
equipment:
such as
Marquees
generators
waterpumps
solarpanels
Gas equipment
watertanks
and other festival type equipment
etc

You need not have any experience
just the willingness to make yourself available in future festivals
So all the training / learning's you receive can be applied to future
festivals

We have a tepee in the Gosford area that requires Pickup and return
ideally this would require some one who has a strong set of roof racks
And a Marquee that requires transport in one direction
ideally a Ute or stationwagon or bigger would suit
The marquee is in wood ford Queensland
http://www.whereis.com/whereis/mapping/zoomMap.do?mapIndex=1&brandId=1&level=7
and can be collected right now :-)
its quite an urgent job
please email me direct

Hi Andrea and everyone else,

ConFest is great!!! ++!! I went to my first one at Walwa upstream from Albury in
1989-90
and have been to many since. The people are great and a week camping by water is
good
relaxation. Workshops are interesting and there's plenty of opportunities to
share with
others by helping at the front gate, info tent, First Aid, Art Village, Massage
marquee,
doing the dunnies, .....

Godiva awards have been given to people who arrive at the gate wearing a smile
but
nothing else - see the previous newsletters on the dte web site and the photos
in the
galleries. It's a cool way to celebrate being a bit different to the mad society
out in the rest
of the country and to jump right into being part of the different community that
ConFest
is. It's hard to explain in words, but people who have been to ConFest know how
different
and refreshing it is.

Not everybody does and you don't have to go naked all the time - there's
sunburn,
nighttime cool temperatures and mossie bites to be careful about for starters,
but a good
layer of mud from the puddle fixes most of those, it's good for your skin and
it's free!

So hope you can get along Andrea, bring your friends too or make some there,
you're sure
to enjoy yourself.
