Just a quick reminder about the full moon festival
at White Gums in Kellyville this weekend -
all weekend Friday Saturday and Sunday!!!!
A super outside stage has been set up
with full sound gear inc micro phones.
So one and all (you included) may take the stage!!!
Some performers have been orgainised and
aswellas space for OPEN MIC style performances
A fire will be lit in front of the stage
to keep the audience toasty.
Soooo.... pack your musical instruments, dancing boots
song books, drums, juggling balls, poetry books, fire sticks, and
fancy dresses. Drummers welcome !!

How to get there:
As you head up Wakehurst Parkway towards Mona Vale turn left into Oxford
Falls rd West.
(Just after the Sydney City church on the left and the Grammar school on the
right.)
Drive through the water (yes; adventure!) and
1039A is the first driveway on your left after Spicer Rd.
(About 250 metres after the water.)
There's a white plastic container that functions as our letterbox with the
house number on it, sitting on a tree stump.
You can't see the house from the driveway, what you see is a big orange
shipping container and a junk yard.
The cottage is on your left once you drive in.

Sounds like the Easter and Anzac gatherings were great,
hope there can be many more and that we can get to them.
Does anyone else have a problem with the message board notices on the
dte site?
Since just before Easter we can't read them! seems the previously
purple coloured background isn't being loaded or downloaded
and that makes the white writing a bit difficult to read against
the white background. Before that it was always there to read and even
sometimes contribute to. Then one day it just didn't show.
We've tried looking with several browsers on Mac (Safari, Firefox,
Mozilla), windows (Explorer and Firefox) and a noname one on Linux
too, computers at home and from other places too, but always
just get the top title and no more.
Any clues?

We (who ever we are?) have a vision of a net work of community owned business
and properties .
It is felt that community owned land will offer participants a sense of
belonging that is missing on communities in which the Title is held by one or
just a few people .
It is felt that a legal entity will offer our evolving culture , room to exist
and grow under British /Australian law . Earlier indigenous "earth culture" was
all but wiped out by British Law.
A legal entity is to be formed by incorporating an Association.
This Association is visioned to evolve in to a network of community owned
properties and business opportunities .
These community spaces are visioned to :
a.. form the "Homelands" for our partly nomadic community .
b.. and become the bases for the community owned businesses , through which
we will be able to support our selves in our own chosen life journeys .
The community owned businesses are visioned to :
a.. provide a co-operative environment in which we may produce the things we
need to survive and thrive .
b.. trade with the larger competitive economy .
By evolving self-sustaining , organically self-organising , supportive ,
productive , co-operative systems the association will create community "space"
for individuals to explore their own potential , and participate in a
self-supporting process .
Such an Association by law requires there to be legally responsible "Office
Bearers" whose role would best be seen as holding an open "space" for community
to evolve it's own , decision making processes , economy , and culture .
Many people have attended one or more of the many gatherings which have been
held at "Kotema" , a much visited property , on the Acheron River , in
Narbethong ,Victoria .
Many people have found the community which has been gathering at "Kotema" to
be a supportive network of people and a safe space in which they may explore
their potential as self-responsible human beings.
For the last 12 months there has been talk of community purchasing the land at
"Kotema".
It is visioned that a legal entity in the form of an "Association" will soon
be formed to hold the Title on behalf of the community now centred there .
It is further visioned that this entity will evolve into a network of similar
places for the benefit of this growing community and a network of community
owned business through which the community can support it self and the
participating individuals .
To this end a series of on going community "meetings" have been held to
establish the Association (legal entity) .
It is visioned that the Association will raise the necessary finance through
it's activities and by borrowing finance from those who would choose to invest
in such an arrangement . Loan/loans would be secured by the properties Title
(mortgage) and Interest would be paid .
Kotema is currently on the market , so it is becoming urgent for the
Association to reach the stage of incorporation to sercure it's home base .
The Crescent Moon community in Northern N.S.W. is also becoming available for
the community to expand it's network.
Both properties have been partially financed already .
WE ( who ever we are? ) don't find our selves well suited to a competitive
economic system.....
WE ( who ever we are ?) Love the forests and the seas...
Each tree is a living being to US....... and the birds thrill US in their
flight.....
WE ( who ever we are ?) marvel at a whale the size of a bus..... and the
dolphins playing in the waves......
WE ( who ever we are ?) find both joy and peace in the natural rhythms of the
world.....
Greed and aggression are not our ways......
Kindness , tolerance and patience are OUR tools......
Love , compassion and co-operation are the paths for US......
WE ( who ever we are ?) respect life in all it's forms..... and all of the
thing which are being......
WE ( who ever we are ?) would rather share than take......celebrating and
learning from OUR differences......knowing that WE are all the same.......
WE would support each other...... and work together to nurture all life.....
WHOEVER WE ARE.....

Thanks to all who populated the Gypsy Kitchen at Easter Confest .
Through the self organising , autonomous action of the many people who
participated in the kitchens activities , we feed around 500 meals each day
and provided chai etc to many more .
Nearly $1000 was provided by D.T.E. to seed fund Gypsy Kitchen with much
more food etc.gifted by Confest participants .
The Gypsy Kitchen is still open . it's been packed up and moved to
"kotema" , a community property in Narbethong .
It is hoped that a community food and land project will evolve , networking
"confest" type community resourses to develop a "confest" lifestyle for
those who participate . Further resourses are to be found by the community
trading with the "outside world" through a community owned legal entity .
