Hi - I'm yet another person needing a lift from Sydney to beautiful
ConFest, sharing expenses. If someone has space that would be wonderful!
Coming from: Ashfield (but I can meet you elsewhere, e.g. near a train
station somewhere)
Leaving: Preferably the 27th or 28th, but flexible. Ideally I'd like to
get there close to the start.
I've got a possible lift, but nothing confirmed, so if you have a space,
please let me know!
You can SMS or call me, 0400 220 700, or email me, chriswaterguy (then
the AT symbol) appropedia DOT org.
(Btw, I also only have a possible tent & air mattress, but I guess
there'll be places to sleep if I don't have them?)
Many thanks - I'm so looking forward to it!

Hi. My car broke yesterday. I plan to get to Moulemein with my three
sons. Does anyone have a big comfy vehicle to fit us all in who would
love to drive us there and back? If not, do you have room for two? I'm
ready and keen to travel Boxing day. I can offer smiles, snacks,
driving and generous fuel costs. All options considered. My phone
number is 0432 159 799. I can ring you back.
See you there dancing.....

directions to Molemein via Denliquine.
This is the shortest distance with a shop up.
You can camp / sleep over night via Gundagai. (half way point)
To Sleep spot
Take second Gundagai turn (if you crossed bridge you missed it).
Then turn right past caravan park. And right again
This will take you nder bridge then left at boat ramp (well used driveway)
Lots a camping / swimming no taps or toilets. (trees ok).
Most people should have their rides by now and we would love to hear your
stories when you return.
If you still have spaces in your car / bus / helicopter. Some people are
still looking. And moderators will be heading off soon to so get your posts
up ASAP with lots of information about your offer or request.

Hi folks - *really* looking forward to ConFest.
I had the idea that I might visit family in Mudgee for Christmas - but
only if I can then get to ConFest on time, and without major dramas.
If anyone happens to be going from that way let me know. Otherwise,
any suggestions for safe hitchhiking? (I'm thinking of getting lifts
at truck stops.)
Thanks beautiful people!

Subject: Bliss.....
Hi Benny and other Sydney Blissfuls,
I've just returned from a week at the Moulamein confest site, beginning the
setup of Bliss and Tranquility, returning at the end of the month.
The river level is low but flowing, the lagoon is dry except for a few
patches of mud. All is now focused on the river front area.
There is a beautiful beach at the end of tranquility, so planning on
developing and making the most of this, probably shadecloth suspended above
an area of beach and water.
A 2 x 3 metre area at the fire circle has been levelled for a hot tub (or
cool tub - depending on the weather), materials for it have been procured.
Also scrounged some materials for the wood fired mudbrick ovens and designs
for these have been pretty much finalised, so hone your pizza and
bread-making skills and expect YUM!!! Included is also a barbie with a solid
metal plate, so good for pancakes and frying.
I am just about to ask DTE for a budget and intend to include provisions for
a load of sand to cover the fire circle so we won't have to sit on the dirty
ground.
I'm thinking about what else the Bliss/Tranquility areas are in need of. Any
suggestions?
Any ideas about kitchen equipment we need? I was thinking a couple of large
stock pots. Can anyone in Sydney lay their hands on this sort of thing
second-hand?
Any ideas and input would be more than welcome. Thurs morning (after your
meeting Wed eve) would be good as the ConFest meeting is Thurs eve.
Big hugs from Melb.
Andrea.
