Possibly...but now is it just coincedence that again yesterday I was
having problems with Fatal errors, and now once again today the CSJ
has been hacked?? I tried most of the themes and it didn't
matter...the same erro keptcoming up. Could it possibly be that the
fatal errors are due to somebody hacking away at the site?? Now for
a couple of hours, (since i did an order with petsdiscounters) the
home page is balnk with: Evil Security - R3d Kill3r in the upper
left corner. Coincedance?
Take care,
Marie (aka ladybug15057)

I knew something weird was going on! So if hotmail makes the pictures
smaller how are you going to be recieving the images for the calendar
now?? Also, I did post in the May calendar crab for a test. Now that
I know hotmail was making my photos smaller I have better ones that
are probably big enough. Like that Mother's Day photo even though I
think it is too late for that one but I guess it go for any summer
month. Let me know if it is big enough when uploadrd through the csj
photos. Thanks!

The size you uploaded was fine, however the photo you emailed me is
also now in that folder and when you click on it you will see that it
is 1/4 of the size you uploaded. Since the larger size version meets
the dimension requirements I'll add it to the Calendar Crabs for May!
Thanks for perservering. I was hoping you would have a larger version :)

I think so to. I have other TV shows interested, including Totally
Wild which is based on conservation, animals and science. It is
produced with the help of Parks and Wildlife, CSIRO, Double Helix etc.
The producer sounded VERY interested so I will get onto it once I am
at 100% once more. I really am feeling under the weather, with pinched
nerve in my neck and seized shoulders, etc. I wasn't looking forward
to lugging a glass tank with everything needed on a train for 90
minutes to film a segment at their own location. I've done that before
(for Burkes Backyard) and I paid for it big time physically and
financially.
I might have a word to the Uni about letting me film in the science
lab or curriculum resources center 'lounge' area. It would be easy
enough to take along a tank and set it up ahead of time, perhaps leave
it on display for the other teachers - perhaps convert a few? I live
within walking distance, it is nearby, and big enough for a film crew,
which my small unit is not.
Most tv crews do prefer to film in Sydney, so a database of locations
is definitely needed. If we have a press info page with information
about land hermit crab care, articles available for syndication,
contact details by country/state etc then it will be easier for them
to feature the content.
Most sites have a press info page these days, with something like:
[Below are some resources for media and press use.
The photos listed have been approved for general use.
If you require any futher information then contact us via the details
below.]
Along with images, pdf's to download, press releases etc. Sound good? :)

Not sure what happened so I'll just send you another invite :)
Expect it within the next few seconds. BTW, if anyone is needing an
invite email me at landhermitcrabs@... and I'll send you an
invite - available only for the first 50 people, since that is how
many invites I have ;)
V(ery tired)anessa
Update - due to not being able to find a location on a Friday during
working hours the TV Show filming was cancelled. Add to that my
household all down with the flu and other illness, bad weather and no
location it meant that this opportunity slipped through my fingers.
They couldn't reschedule the filming so they made other arrangements.
This did upset me at first, but then it made me realise that something
needs to be done so that the next time we don't miss the boat.
So... in the interest of getting the message out there about land
hermit crabs, I am going to create a database of people who are
interested in media and production. One of the negatives of the
Creature Features show that really started to niggle at me was that
it would only be a very short feature and very restrictive as to how
much information can be shared. It is such 'blink and you'd miss it'
type shows that feature hermit crabs for five minutes that have been
responsible for a surge in interest and purchases of hermit crabs,
with very little information really given. I would have been answering
seven questions posed by viewers - that's it. While the lhc awareness
would have been a good step in the right direction, without somewhere
to shoot the footage it makes it very difficult.
What I am interested in is developing our own 'media enquiries' and
'media specialists' database which can be called on upon to take part
in tv, radio or print production.
The database will be based on a form which asks the following:
Are you interested in:
a) appearing on TV/Radio or in print with their hermit crabs
b) speaking on TV/Radio or quoted in print about land hermit crab care
and related issues
c) having a crew come into your home and filming/taking photos of your
crabitat/crabs for TV or print
d) being quoted in print
e) becoming a local rep and all the responsibilities that come with it.
We also need media specialists.
Are you interested in:
i) writing scripts that can be read by 'presenters'
ii) doing voice-overs or reading information to be dubbed over footage
iii) experience in film production
iv) a background in sound and/or lighting
v) experiegraphic design
If there is anyone in this group who already has experience in film
production, media or related fields and would like to lead this
project please let me know. I am very interested in delegating ;)
Please post any notice of interest at the NEW organisation group for
CSJ - a Yahoo!Group. Why the switch from the MSN Group? APart from the
fact it is inactive, many people found it difficult to navigate. It
will mainly be for discussing CSJ organisation, projects and file
storage.

I hope to see you there,

I 'just' tried 3 times and the bottom says "Web site found waiting
for a reply". My little C i the upper right corner just is spinning
away, no addy in the address bar...5 minutes later I just X'ed out
of it. I did this 3 times, 3 times same thing. :( (going back for
try 4)

Yes, it looks like MSN is dead. It's a shame but when 99% of the
members lurk and many of them say that it is because the format is too
confusing, its time to call it a day and move on.
Vanessa
Hi Everyone,
You might be wondering why I have created yet another group. We tried
using the MSN Group but too many found it difficult to navigate. I'm
hoping that we can use a Yahoo!Group for file storage and
communication. I thought about creating a file uploads for files other
than images for CSJ but I think this is an easier way.
So... if you have a caresheet you would like added, or an article to
submit use the Files section. If you have photos that you would like
added, use the Photos section. We cant do this on the Hermies LHCOS
group because we are already at maximum for files and photos.
Once caresheets have been proofed they will be added to the CSJ
Magazine at the end of the month. Try and get files in by 24th of the
month if possible.
Welcome!
Vanessa
