i have proof of the first to last email from one kirsty colbert aka
cowgal from the first email trying to get to know me an asking me to
join a muslim sisters dating site to talk to her,im sure everyone here
on this crayfish forum has recieved this unwelcome message an i had the
dishonor of replying to her to be nice, only to have her tell me all
about herself, her likes an dislike's an so on.this is a gross an
unnecessary misalocation of this forum an strays far away from the
intended topic which is obviously crayfish.instead of attempting a
petty an childish response to me bringing your your abuse of this site
to the attention of others, you might want to sit down an think hard
about the gravity of what you are trying to do on what is not a dating
site.if you have any questions or anything valid to say about the
intended topic of CRAYFISH,then do so,but if you want to meet people i
suggest you try one of the late night dating sites on television for
your intended purpose instead of your bizarre missuse of this great
site, bizarre meaning how it looks to me as to how you could for one
second actually think you can find people to date on here.if you have
any questions about crayfish or anything valid to say about crayfish
then by all means, post your question and/or comment, but if your
intention was purely to find someone to fill in your time with, then
your in the wrong place.

also like the murray crayfish very much an would like to have one

decline, therefore illegal to catch an keep them.i am just as curious
to know if i could own a murray cray, but im not sure how i could.try
looking up the yarra crayfish, they are in my view is the crayfish with
a differant name, coming from the river yarra.the only differance is the
colour being blue instead of the brown/green of the murray cray.check
out the laws an the environmental status ie: if their endangered or not
first,if not, then you could go for the glenelg crayfish or the easiest
cray to get the marron.i am very interested to know what you find out
about your chances of getting a murray and/or yarra cray,if you find a
farmer for each of them,if you could mail me back with your results.
thanks

if you have the time and live nearby a stream in their natural
distribution, you could always have a crack at trying to catch one
yourself. i often try and catch my own crays from various streams
around nsw. saying that if you do try and catch one, make sure you do
it legally.
another option would be to try a good aquarium/fish shop/pet store,
they may be able to help you.
good luck with your search and if you find somewhere/someone selling
them let me know as i've always wanted a murray cray also.

cheers

aye buddy,i got some advice for you.normally for a quick catch i would recommend a open bag net,but thats only if your around to check it friequently,so i suggest a drum net or the new 'operahouse' style net as once they walk in for the bait, there not getting out.the standard opera house net does has its drawbacks for catching small to medium crays is that the mesh used to cover the nets has large hole's for the small one's to fall out of when pulling it in so i would but a drum net because the material used to cover it is very similar to curtain material with the density of the material having small porus breathing holes to let nothing escape.after that just some nice strong smelling meat dripping with blood to attract them ,submerge it in a nice pool close to rocks and over hanging branches or grass, preferably in a pool with crayfish burrows or holes in the pond walls and bobs your aunty, you should catch your new pet crayfish.good luck man

Both these species max out at about 3-5 inches but they do seem to
have better coloor variance than a normal rusticus. The hybrids have
been known to be fertile and have sucessfull generations of offspring
so a mule is possible. I myself have never got a hybrid to produce
young in captivity. It will extract eggs but never fertilize them.

It would be interesting to see if you could breed them or whether or
not they become 'mules'. In Australia they bred two varieties of
cherax (destructor and rotundas i think) together and the off springs
were all infertile males. The advantage of this was they were good for
aquaculture because they didn't waist time trying to breed and got
bigger quicker, they were also more placid than ordinary cherax

It can surely learn a good manner to know these knowledge beforehand when
it goes to a lake.
However, we are always accompanied with destruction of nature, and live.
It is difficult to justify them beautifully.

It is very good to erase trash from nature.

How long does it take trash
to disappear from the lake?

Its very important to keep our trash and debris out of the lake to
preserve the water quality. Do you know that it takes this long for
the
following to disappear from the lake?

2-4 weeks Paper Towels
6 weeks Newspaper
2 months Cardboard Box
2 months Apple Core
1-5 months Cotton Glove
3-14 months Cotton Rope
3 months Waxed Milk Carton
6 months Photo-degradable Beverage Container
1-3 years Plywood
1 year Biodegradable Diaper
1 year Wool Glove
13 years Painted Wood
50 years Styrofoam Cup
50 years Tin Can
80 years Styrofoam Buoy
200 years Aluminum Can
400 years Plastic Beverage Holder
450 years Disposable Diaper
450 years Plastic Milk Jug
450 years Plastic Drink Bottle
600 years Fishing Line
Undetermined Glass Bottles

Please help keep our lake clean! If you see something floating in
the
water, pick it up and put it in your boat. If you are tempted to
throw
trash away yourself, think about this: What are we leaving for our
future generations?

A lot of you know that I have a passion for all things crayfish.
Unfortunately my 'real job' the one I make a living from takes up alot
of my time. I think everyone will agree that Crayfish World is a good
reference site, but if you're like me you'd rather be out there than
sitting behind a computer. I recently got an email from Brenton who'd
like to be taken crayfishing, so I thought there is probably plenty of
others who also would like to catch crayfish. From this site I hope we
can get together in the different countries and get the health sport
of catching and photographiong crayfish going.

I've always been a dreamer, but if you don't dream you'll be a couch
potato.
