Actress Bridie Carter and her professional dance partner Craig Monley
won Series 7 of Dancing With The Stars.
Bridie and Craig scored 35 out of 40 from the judges for their Cha
Cha, and perfect 40's for their respective Samba and Freestyle
routines. The public vote was added to the judges' scores and resulted
in the dance duo polling the highest and winning Dancing With The Stars.
Runner up Anh Do and his partner Luda Kroitor scored 26 out of 40 for
their Paso Doble, 32 out of 40 for their Samba and 35 out of 40 for
their freestyle dance.
Bridie said 'This is more than I could have ever imagined...it feels
pretty great to win I have to say!'
'We worked really hard and I have loved the whole experience. Craig's
choreography was truly inspirational and he took me on this incredible
journey. I didn't know what it would be at the start, but it's been

Striding to Samba and Argentine Tango, Opera Singer David Hobson was
eliminated from Dancing With The Stars Semi Final.
David and his professional dance partner Karina Schembri scored 31 out
of 40 from the judges for their Argentine Tango and 23 out of 40 for
their Samba. The public vote was added to the judges' scores and
resulted in the dance duo polling the lowest and therefore departing
Dancing With The Stars.
David said 'Over the past 9 weeks we have overcome quite a few
obstacles including the flu and laryngitis so to travel this far
through the competition is incredible'.
David joked 'I think maybe I enjoyed myself a bit too much because I
was never really fussed if we got through or not. I was having
fun...especially sparring with the judges. It amused me that they
would correct my technique knowing I'd never do that dance again!'
'But the times where I felt the dancing and the music intensely were
very satisfying and my partnership with Karina was the absolute
highlight'.

Australian singer and composer David Hobson is one of Australia's best
known performers.
David grew up in country Victoria and as a youngster sang in church
choirs and local musicals, fronted rock and jazz bands and wrote
music. While demonstrating his rock musical Macbeth to the Victoria
State Opera, he was persuaded to become a classical tenor on the basis
of his distinctive singing voice, and joined the cast of the highly
successful Broadway version of The Pirates of Penzance.
David went on to perform many operatic roles including his
award-winning performances as Rodolfo in the Baz Luhrmann's production
of La bohème and Orpheus in Gluck's Orphée et Eurydice. Outside of
opera he performs extensively in concert and appears at major events
including an exclusive performance for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
and the AFL Grand Final. David is well known to television audiences
from his appearances on Carols in the Domain, Carols by Candlelight,
It Takes Two and Dancing with the Stars.
David is also a highly successful composer whose works include a music
theatre version of Macbeth, the chamber opera Remembering Rosie and
the soundtrack to the film One Perfect Day, which was named Best Music
Score by the Film Critics Circle of Australia in 2004.
His discography includes a number of opera DVDs (including the
aforementioned internationally popular La bohème), top-selling
classical CDs, a collection of original compositions with David
Hirschfelder and a duet album with Anthony Warlow.
David has won numerous awards including a 'MO' award for Operatic
Performer of the Year, a Sydney Theatre Critics' Circle Award, also
for Operatic Performer of the Year, The Age Performing Arts Award for
Best Performer in Opera, and an Australian Record Industry Association
(ARIA) Award for Best Classical Album.

'You think once you reach a certain age it all stops, but it
doesn't. You've got to push your energy out there and not be
embarrassed. I've been blessed to receive fan mail from teenagers
too and they are inspired by the fun they can see me having. Life is
about a whole series of moments and Dancing with the Stars is a
moment I will forever cherish' Patti said.

and therefore departing Dancing With The Stars.
Mark said tonight 'I am shocked and very surprised. I thought we had
done what was required to go through to the next round'.
'But I believe I am a better person for this experience on Dancing
With The Stars. I have pushed boundaries and learnt you can take risks
and not get hurt. I've made a great mate for life in Linda and have
conquered my fear of dancing in public' Mark said.
