Tonight, we reach the grand final of Dancing with the Stars series
five. AFL legend Anthony Koutoufides and chess whiz kid Arianne
Caoili battle it out for the championship. After a turbulent week of
training, the pair took to the floor with an exhausting three
routines each in a tantalising dance-off. Who will be crowned the
next Dancing Champion live on-stage tonight?
In a dancing spectacular all eight eliminated celebrities returned
to the floor with their dance partners for a mega mix routine – a
medley of each celebrity's favourite dance. We were reunited with
Fiona Falkiner, Tom Waterhouse, Kerry Armstrong, Gary Sweet, Amanda
Keller, Chris Hemsworth and Andrew Gaze.
First up was a musical extravaganza from Human Nature performing
their latest hit single, Dancing In The Street with a selection of
own professional dancers in accompaniment.
Host Daryl Somers introduced the esteemed panel of judges and the
musical feast of special guests including Natalie Bassingthwaite and
Shannon Noll and Rogue Traders. Co-host Sonia Kruger, wearing Toni
Maticevski for Myer, introduced the dances to be performed, along
with the fabulous contenders.
Opening up tonight's routines was footballer turned dancer, Kouta
and his partner Natalie, with a stylish and timeless Quickstep . The
judges were impressed by the couple's routine and journey throughout
the last ten weeks, remarking that Kouta come[s] out of yourself in
that routine and lighten up, it still was some of your best work, if
not your best work, congratulations! and you're truly a dancer.
Scores: Todd, 8, Helen 8, Paul 9, Mark 8 – total 33
Chess title holder, Arianne, dressed in a burnt orange dress, and
her partner Carmelo hit the floor with their passionate Paso Doble.
The judges remarked the couple were clearly the best dancers in the
competition, but this routine was not the best Paso Doble during the
series and there still should be more passion.
Scores: Todd 8, Helen 8, Paul 9, Mark 8 – total 33
Adding to the excitement of a Dancing With The Stars Grand Final,
local ARIA winners, Rogue Traders entertained the audience with a
live performance of their song In Love Again.
Kouta, dressed in military uniform, and Natalie, in `50s style
dress, fired up the floor next with an energetic and fun Lindy Hop.
The judges were almost speechless, saying the partnership has so
much trust and friendship, that you move so well together, and to do
that and dance like that in 16 weeks, well, you're phenomenal! The
result was the couple's first 10 from judge Paul Mercurio.
Scores: Todd 7, Helen 9, Paul 10, Mark 9 – total 35
Arianne and Carmelo's Lindy Hop routine was exuberant and athletic
(just as a Lindy Hop should be), though the judges remarked it had a
lot of Lindy but not a lot of Hop for me but acknowledged it's a
very hard dance to learn for the first time.
Scores: Todd 6, Helen 7, Paul 7, Mark 7 - total 27
Next up all eight eliminated celebrity dancers returned for a mega-
mix dance performance. First up was Kerry Armstrong and her partner,
Chris with an energetic Jive. Dancing the Cha-cha was Fiona Falkiner
and her partner Serghei. Jazzing up the stage was Gary Sweet and
Eliza with their Quickstep, while Amanda Keller and Csaba followed
with the sassy Samba. Home and Away's Chris Hemsworth and his
partner Abbey grooved up the floor with their Paso Doble, while Tom
Waterhouse and Alana Cha-Cha'd their way across the dancefloor.
Runner Tamsyn Lewis and Arsen completed the mega-mix by re-visiting
their Samba routine.
The finalists took to the floor for one last time, in the most
anticipated routine of the night, a freestyle dance (translated as
anything goes). Kouta and Nat were first up with their ambitious and
beautiful freestyle effort. The emotional routine had the audience
and in-house fan club on their feet. The judges remarked on the
amazing journey Kouta and Nat have achieved throughout the series,
and the trust they have built, which was evident, especially with
the lifts. The judges commented the couple were, here dancing
together as one – congratulations! The perfect score reflected the
judges thinking!
Scores: Todd 10, Helen 10, Paul 10, Mark 10 - 40
In the final performance of the evening, the gorgeous Arianne and
her partner, Carmelo took to the floor with their romantic and
stunning freestyle routine. The judges commented well done! on the
great choice of music and a well thought out routine.
Scores: Todd 9, Helen 9, Paul 9, Mark 9 - 36
In an exclusive to Dancing with the Stars, Natalie Bassingthwaite
and Shannon Noll performed their new duet Don't Give Up for the
first time live.
Finally the moment of truth we've all been waiting for - just who
will be the next celebrity to be crowned the champion of Dancing
With The Stars series Five? The nail-biting final minutes were
played out in front of a huge audience both in the studio and around

Last week Home and Away heart throb Chris Hemsworth was eliminated
and tonight one more celebrity will leave the series in the quarter
final of series 5 of Dancing with the Stars. Tonight the four
remaining celebrities Tamsyn Lewis, Andrew Gaze, Arianne Caoili and
Anthony Koutoufides were again performing two dances they had not
danced before.
Host Daryl Somers introduced the renowned panel of judges, along
with the Dancing with the Stars band, led by Chong Lim and our
gorgeous co-host Sonia Kruger who was dressed in print dress from
Wayne Cooper for Myer. Sonia and Daryl discussed the technical
aspects of tonight's dances – Foxtrot, Cha Cha Cha, Quickstep, Paso
Doble, Waltz and Jive.
First up tonight, firing up the floor was Tamsyn Lewis, dressed in a
twenties style fringed electric blue dress and jet black wig, and
Arsen with an entertaining Cha Cha Cha routine. The co-host and the
judges all remarked on great choreography and "clean" performance
and pointed out that the she was no longer a self-confessed tomboy.
Scores: Todd 7, Helen 8, Paul 7, Mark 6 – total 28
AFL footballer Anthony Koutoufides, dressed in a smart dinner suit,
and his partner Natalie, in an electric blue sparkling gown, took to
the floor with a elegant Foxtrot The judges were thrilled with the
performance with comments such as "this is the best you've done so
far", "there's life after footy!" and "I absolutely loved it!"
Scores: Todd 7, Helen 8, Paul 9, Mark 9 – total 33
In a dramatic start to her first routine, fiery chess champion
Arianne Caoili was draped with delicate streams of burnt orange
fabric suspended from either side of the state. She stepped aside
from the fabric layers to reveal a stunning burnt orange gown and
with her partner Carmelo performed a passionate, dramatic and
visually spectacular Paso Doble The judges seemed impressed by the
couple's technical routine and "tonight, we saw you bring the
emotion into the routine".
Scores: Todd 9, Helen 9, Paul 9, Mark 9 – total 36
The five times Olympic basketballer Andrew Gaze and his partner
Linda took to the floor with a fancy-footed Foxtrot. The judges
remarked on the tight choreography and said "I think that was your
best performance so far."
Scores: Todd 7, Helen 7, Paul 7, Mark 7 - total 28
Upping the tempo with a Quickstep, Tamsyn,, dressed in a sparkling
oyster gown, and Arsen returned to the floor with a well-
choreographed 1940s-styled routine. Mark Wilson was impressed by
their efforts, remarking "Very, very good choreography", the timing
was good, "forget the tomboy stuff, you're beautiful, well done!"
Scores: Todd 8, Helen 9, Paul 8, Mark 8 – total 33
Bringing a little fun disco fever to the floor with their Cha Cha
Cha, Kouta and Natalie, dressed in matching yellow outfits,
performed a fun and dynamic routine. Todd McKenney was somewhat
unenthused with the routine, which was reflected in his score, but
the others were impressed by the couple's efforts.
Scores: Todd 4, Helen 7, Paul 7, Mark 7 - total 25
After gaining the highest score of the evening with their
spectacular Paso Doble, Arianne and her partner Carmelo take to the
floor once again with an elegant and smooth Waltz routine,
accompanied by the Melbourne Gospel Choir. The judges congratulated
them on their consistent efforts throughout the series.
Scores: Todd 7, Helen 7, Paul 8, Mark 7 – total 29
Firing up the floor with the last routine of the evening was the
effervescent Olympic basketballer, Andrewwith his beautiful partner,
Linda performing an energetic and disco-tinged Jive to the classic,
Knock On Wood. Todd McKenney remarked "this is the dance that a lot
of drunk[en] uncles do at weddings and that there were a lot of
drunk uncle moments!" yet the judges seem unable to fault them for
their enthusiasm and said "I'd rather watch you than anyone else in
this competition, well done, mate!" They all remarked that both
performances where Gazey's best by far in the competition.
Scores: Todd 5, Helen 6, Paul 6, Mark 6 – total 23
The audience were memorised by handsome Italian operatic tenor,
Vittorio Grigolo who performed his currently single, You Are My
Miracle exclusively for Dancing with the Stars. Vittorio was
accompanied by sexy violinist Sally Cooper and professional dancers,
Natalie Lowe and Arsen Kishishian, entertained with a stunning and
emotional dance to the superstar's stunning vocals.
And for the seventh elimination episode for series 5 comes the
moment of truth who will be the final three celebrities to remain in
the competition. Gradually Daryl Somers and Sonia Kruger revealed
which couple would be dancing again next week and sadly, Andrew and
Linda's journey had finished.

Last week Dancing with the Stars farewelled acting legend Gary Sweet.
For the first time on Dancing with the Stars, tonight the sultry
Salsa has been added to the competition. Three of the contestants
will attempt this new dance while the remaining three will perform
either a foxtrot or quickstep.
Host Daryl Somers, introduced the respected panel of judges – Todd
McKenney, Helen Richey, Paul Mercurio and Mark Wilson, along with
the house band, led by Chong Lim. Stunning Dancing with the Stars co-
host Sonia Kruger, dressed in golden gown from Alex Perry for Myer
and Daryl discussed the technical aspects of tonight's dances – the
fiery and sexy Salsa and the slower moving but technically based
Foxtrot or Quickstep - which will test our remaining six celebrity
dancers and their partners.
First to fire up the floor this week was Tamsyn and Arsen. The
couple decided to pull out all stops and add some spectacular,
acrobatic moves to their sultry and energetic Salsa routine. Their
decision could have ended disastrously as a mishap during rehearsals
resulted in Tamsyn landing on her head but the risk paid off despite
a slight wardrobe malfunction during the routine. Sonia and the
judges all remarked on the slight misstep and commended the pair on
their seamless recovery – they looked like "dancing whiz-fizz"!
Scores: Todd 8, Helen 8, Paul 7, Mark 8 - total 31
Home and Away heartthrob Chris Hemsworth, dressed in a classic suit
with matching platinum tie, and his captivating partner Abbey, in an
oyster and platinum gown, sizzled with a wistful Foxtrot. The judges
remarked that the Foxtrot is one of the hardest Ballroom routines,
and the couple managed the intricacies of the dance very well.
Scores: Todd 6, Helen 6, Paul 6, Mark 6 – total 24
Olympic basketballer Andrew Gaze continued to nurse an injured
ankle, as he took to the floor with dance partner Linda for a
spontaneous Salsa. The lanky sportsman revelled in the humorous
aspect of the routine including an overbearing bright costume and
hammed it up for the audience. What he lacked in skill, Andrew made
up with charisma. The judges found it difficult to score the pair as
they were entertained by his performance but felt his technique and
timing still needed a lot of work.
Scores: Todd 5, Helen 5, Paul 5, Mark 5 – total 20
The lively broadcaster and comedienne Amanda Keller, adorned in a
sparkling electric blue velvet gown, and her partner Csaba took to
the floor with an elegant and smooth Foxtrot routine. Mark Wilson
commented that the pair had the whole package. The judges commented
that their performance was not only technically good, there was
always a story or emotion portrayed in their routines.
Scores: Todd 6, Helen 6, Paul 7, Mark 6 – total 25
Australian footballer Kouta, dressed in a pinstripe suit and fedora,
and his partner Natalie in matching flaming red gown, took to the
floor with a feisty Quickstep. The pair's great choreography
thrilled the audience and judges yet again with comments coming from
the panel, such as "gob smacked" and "didn't think you could ever
dance like that!" and "It's the "routine of the night, so far."
Scores: Todd 9, Helen 8, Paul 9, Mark 9 - total 35
Firing up the floor with the last routine of the evening was Arianne
in a fiery fringed costume and Carmelo with a spicy, swift and
cheeky Salsa routine. The judges remarked on the couple's dynamic
and technically adept routine gaining them the highest score this
series so far and the first perfect 10 of the series.
Scores: Todd 9, Helen 9, Paul 9, Mark 10 – total 37
And for the fifth elimination episode for this series comes the
moment of truth that we have all been waiting for, just who will be
the next celebrity to leave the series? In nail-biting moments, our
hosts gradually revealed which couple would be dancing again next
week and sadly, Amanda and Csaba's journey had finished despite
their beautiful routine this evening.
To make sure your favourite couple remains in the competition
remembering 50% of your votes are included in the overall vote, read
through the how to vote guidelines and you can also head to our
official messageboards to join in on the wide-ranging and
fascinating discussions from dance fans all around the country.
Next week the five remaining celebrities will feel the pressure a
week earlier than usual when they prepare two dances. The couples
will execute a dance they have not performed before and for the
first time ever all the couples will attempt a group formation
dance, the West Coast Swing, one of the most difficult of all
partner dances which is characterised by fast steps, lots of spins
and under arm passes.
Over the coming weeks you will see several new dances introduced to
the Dancing with the Stars format making it the most difficult and
challenging Grand Final ever.
Dancing with the Stars returns next Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel
Seven.

Ballroom | Latin
Ballroom
Viennese WaltzIt's uncertain if the Viennese Waltz came from a
French or Italian peasant dance in the 1550s, as both had similar
dances performed to folk music, the Volta. Both require couples to
rotate as they dance and "volta" is Italian for "the turn". For
couples to get from one side of their partner to the other, they had
to embrace so closely many declared it immoral.
Ada and Aric demonstrate perfect Viennese form
Modern WaltzIn the early 19th Century another turning dance,
the "Waltzen", became popular in many parts of Germany and Austria,
with local variants named after their area. The popular step from
Landl ob der Enns in upper Austria became known as the Landler.
Meanwhile, a more sedate form of the fast Viennese Waltz evolved in
America around 1834, known originally as the Boston. The Modern
Waltz is said to be a combination of the Landler and the Boston
derived in England about 1910.
Alicia and John-Paul waltz up a storm
Modern TangoThe Modern Tango is probably a result of Spain's
Flamenco dance merging with the African slave dance the Tangano, and
a host of other folk dances infiltrating South America. In the
Buenos Aires slums in the late 19th century, they both merged with
the Habanera – a Cuban folk dance – to provide a new step; the
Milonga. Originally the Milonga was a soft private dance, with
emphasis on leg movements. In Paris in the 1930's, it was combined
with other ballroom dances and given a staccato action, moving the
emphasis to the torso and head, a characteristic which remains.
It takes Ky and Masha to tango
FoxtrotOne story says it was introduced as the Castle Walk into
nightclub performances of Vernon and Irene Castle, and popularised
by Harry Fox in the stage show Ziegfeld Follies in New York in 1913 -
and named after him. Others say it mimicked the gait of a horse, or
even a fox. Regardless, the step was fashionably rebellious against
19th Century dancing, as it used parallel feet rather than turned
out feet used in Victorian dances. About 1922, the trotting steps
were discarded for a less energetic movement called the Saunter and
by 1927 it was called the Slow Foxtrot with gliding movements.
Foxy couple, Chris and Trenton
Latin
RumbaThe Dance of Love, the Rumba is the most sensual of Latin
dances with the lady dominating the man using her womanly charms.
Incorporating teasing and withdrawal, partners dance to each other
not the audience.
Leeanne and Dicko perform a red hot rumba
SambaThe word Samba is supposedly derived from a West African Bantu
word meaning "to pray" or invoke spirits of ancestors. It is said to
be a dance that can send people into a trance. It is danced annually
at Rio's Carnivale.
Brodie sizzles
Jive From its start in 1927, the Jive shocked adults who tried to
ban it. American GIs in World War II took it to Europe but it was
danced underground due to its "corrupting influence". It's a
variation of the Jitter Bug adding rock'n'roll and swing.
Ada gets down and jives
Paso DoblePaso Doble Made famous in the movie "Strictly Ballroom",
The Paso Doble is a Spanish gypsy dance based on the bullfight. The
man represents the bullfighter, Torero, and the lady his red cape or
cappa. It is danced to the characteristic march music used for the
procession at the beginning of a corrida.
Chris and Trenton do the Paso Doble
Cha ChaWhen the English dance teacher Pierre Lavelle visited Cuba in
1952, he saw the Rumba danced with extra beats. He returned to
Britain and began teaching these steps as a new dance.

After last week's tumultuous first elimination of our reality
contestant Fiona Falkiner, our host Daryl Somers sprang to the
studio floor with his usual energy. Our host, dressed in a formal
dinner suit, welcomed the audience, the band led by the ever-
talented musical director, Chong Lim, and the panel of judges to
episode three of Dancing with the Stars.
The glamorous Sonia Kruger dazzled the audience with her stunning
lace gown, accessorised with an outrageous scarlet bow from Alex
Perry for Myer. Dancing with the Star's quick witted co-host
discussed the technical aspects of tonight's dances, - the tango and
jive, which expand on the growing calibre of dancing routines that
our celebrities have mastered.
Up first tonight was the gregarious actress Kerry with dancing
partner Christopher jiving to an energetic routine choreographed to
Long Tall Sally by Little Richard. The hot and physical connection
between the couple impressed the judges although they agreed they
still need to work on learning how to relax.
Scores: Todd 6, Helen 7, Paul 7, Mark 7 – total 27
Home and Away heart throb, Chris Hemsworth and his partner Abbey
danced a very dramatic and powerful version of the tango from the
film Mr and Mrs Smith. Although the judges were positive about their
effort they encouraged more structure and passion be put into the
performance.
Scores: Todd 5, Helen 5, Paul 5, Mark 5 – total 20
Bursting onto the floor with an energetic jive was Tom Waterhouse
(in sparkling dance trousers) and his sultry partner Alana who
pulled out all stops with their fun loving effort. The judges
remarked on their energetic performance but again focussed on the
lack of coordination and rhythm.
Scores: Todd 5, Helen 6, Paul 6, Mark 6 - total 23
After a stunning comeback last week, broadcaster and comedienne
Amanda Keller embraced a Spanish feel of a tango with her and
partner, Csaba where they performed a passionate and stunning
rendition. The judges remarked on the fantastic opening, mood,
outfit and choreography between the couple and the obvious
improvement that has been occurring each week.
Scores: Todd 6, Helen 7, Paul 7, Mark 6 - total 26
Chess champion, Arianne dressed in a perky fifties skirt continued
her sultry journey and with her handsome partner, Carmelo brought an
ambitious jive (with the loss of her skirt to reveal a stunning
beaded skirt) to the floor. The judges remarked on the harmony
between the couple and urged them to continue giving it their best
every week!
Scores: Todd 7, Helen 7, Paul 7, Mark 7 – total 28
Footballer, Kouta and his gorgeous partner Natalie seemed determined
to bring a rhythmic tango routine to the floor. The judges
exclaimed 'you can dance' and 'it was the best tango we've seen
tonight', although they did suggest there needed to be more passion
and emotion put into future routines.
Scores: Todd 7, Helen 8, Paul 7, Mark 7 - total 29
Following his amazing transformation last week with a stunning
quickstep, Gary and his talented partner, Eliza engaged in a
brooding, fifties style rendition of the jive. Our judges remarked
on the couple's great timing and the clever choreography but advised
they should work on Gary's posture.
Scores: Todd 7, Helen 7, Paul 7, Mark 6 – total 27
Our Olympic athlete, Tamsyn resplendent in red hot lipstick and red
nails with her sultry and handsome partner, Arsen brought a new
depth to the calibre of dancing seen so far during this series with
a sharp and technically proficient rendition of the tango. The
couple's connection as a partnership and the choreography wowed both
the crowd and the audience alike. Todd commented this was
the 'routine of the night!' The scores certainly reflected the
judges' verdict.
Scores: Todd 8, Helen 9, Paul 8, Mark 8 – total 33
Taking the floor by storm over the past few weeks, basketballer
Andrew and his bubbly partner, Linda dazzled the audience and the
judges once more with a sizzling rendition of the tango. Mark roused
up the audience by claiming 'Andrew, you're an angry Wiggle, mate!'
Scores: Todd 5, Helen 6, Paul 5, Mark 5 – total 21
And for the second elimination episode for this series comes the
moment of truth we've all been waiting for, just who will be the
next celebrity to leave the competition? In moments full of tension,
our hosts slowly revealed which couple would be returning to the
dance floor next week and sadly, Tom and Alana's journey had
finished.
To ensure your favourite couple remains in the competition, check

The highly anticipated return of Dancing With The Stars commenced
with host Daryl Somers introducing his co-host, Sonia Kruger, who
looked absolutely stunning in Alex Perry with matching diamante
shoes.
Daryl introduced this season's newest Dancing with the Stars cast,
four of whom were paired with new dancers to the series : Gary Sweet
and his partner Eliza, Tamsyn Lewis and her partner newcomer Arsen,
Tom Waterhouse and Alana, Amanda Keller and her partner Csaba, Fiona
Falkiner and Serghei, Anthony Koutoufides and his partner Natalie,
Kerry Armstrong and her partner newcomer Christopher, Home & Away's
Chris Hemsworth and his partner newcomer Abbey Ross, Arianne and
partner Carmelo and finally, Andrew Gaze and his partner newcomer
Linda.
Welcoming our judges, (from left to right) Todd, Helen, Paul and
Mark were excited to be involved in this series' fun and frivolity!
Up first we welcomed actor Gary Sweet, who was dressed in all black,
and Eliza Campagna to the floor dancing the cha cha cha to the
classic hit, Addicted to Love by Robert Palmer. Todd mentioned Gary
should work on his bodyline and posture after making a comment on
his apparent nervousness. The always glamorous Helen also mentioned
his posture. Paul complimented on his facial gestures and Mark
said "great effort, well done!"
Scores: Todd 4, Helen 5, Paul 5, Mark 5 - 19
An incredibly nervous Tamsyn Lewis in a flowing powder blue gown and
Arsen Kishishian took to the floor dancing the waltz and excited the
crowd. Paul mentioned she was oozing confidence and build on the
partnership. Helen commented it was a really good start but
to "watch the height in her top" (part of her body).
scores: Todd 7, Helen 7, Paul 7, Mark 8 - 29
The effervescent bare-chested beginner, Tom Waterhouse in ruffled
royal blue outfit and Alana Patience put a chair to great use while
dancing the cha cha cha accompanied by the sensual tune, Senorita by
Justin Timberlake. The judges seemed taken aback by the couples
debut remarking with "sex on legs" and Mark "great look, great
energy".
scores: Todd 8, Helen 7, Paul 6, Mark 7 - 28
Amanda Keller dressed in an elegant maroon and scarlet gown and
Csaba Szirmai took the floor with an emotionally charged rendition
of the waltz. Helen said to work on the rise and fall, work on feet
and ankles technically. Todd told her she was the first contestant
to show the nerves and to work on the carriage and upper body.
scores: Todd 4, Helen 5, Paul 5, Mark 5 - 19
In a stunning sparkly fringed frock the sassy Fiona Falkiner and
Serghei Bolgarshii dramatically took to the island themed dance
floor with accompanied music, dancing the cha cha cha. Both Mark and
Todd mentioned Fiona's stage sexiness but that she needs to work on
her upper body.
scores: Todd 3, Helen 5, Paul 6, Mark 6 - 20
Footballer Anthony (Kouta) Koutoufidis and Natalie Lowe took to the
floor, gracefully tackling the waltz. The couple managed to impress
Kouta's wife and mum who were in the studio audience. Helen remarked
on their potential and great choice of music, with "smooth
movement", a "good first attempt".
scores: Todd 6, Helen 8, Paul 6, Mark 7 - 27
Kerry Armstrong who was witty and down-to-earth, and dressed in a
light blue sparkly number with her partner Christopher Ryan took to
the floor, with a cheeky cha cha cha. Todd mentioned Kerry looked
like she was having fun out there, but to relax and breathe! Helen
really enjoyed it... but to "watch arms and hand and timing!"
scores: Todd 7, Helen 7, Paul 6, Mark 7 - 27
Home and Away's hunk Chris Hemsworth and partner Abbey Ross seemed
at ease with the waltz and managed to excite the crowd with their
inaugural effort. Paul spoke about enjoyment thought the nerves had
got the better of Chris tonight. Mark mentioned the height
difference between the two with some tips on posture and
choreography.
scores: Todd 5, Helen 5, Paul 4, Mark 4 - 18
Sultry chess player Arianne Caoili dressed in an electric blue
fringed frock with sparkles and Carmelo Pizzino sizzled onto the
floor with a sassy cha cha cha. Helen mentioned she was a natural,
think they're "going to do very well", although that has been
the "kiss of death" in the past.
scores: Todd 7, Helen 9, Paul 8, Mark 8 - 32
Basketballer Andrew Gaze thankfully made his mother proud with his
brave, graceful and humourous efforts with partner Linda De Nicola
dancing the waltz. In a surpise ending, all the male contestants ran
onto the floor to congratulate Andrew in true basketball winner
style! Check out the photos of that moment.
Todd was impressed and exclaimed, "I loved watching you!" and it
was "pure entertainment", Mark joined him and said, "there was
something Strictly Ballroom about your effort tonight."
scores: Todd 8, Helen 6, Paul 8, Mark 8 - 30
So next week, the competition will really start to get hot with the
first round of departures although the glitz and the glamour will
remain!

Fiona Falkiner - Reality contestant - Biography
She won the hearts of Australians as we watched Fiona battle to
loose weight on reality series The Biggest Loser. Fiona's
transformation from an insecure, overweight young woman to a
glamorous blonde bombshell caught the attention of the nation. An
audible gasp accompanied her appearance on stage at the final show
when an Australian audience was overwhelmed by Fiona's amazing new
svelte figure she had worked so hard to achieve. She may not have
won the reality program but she is the girl that everyone has been
talking about after dropping an impressive 30kgs from her 180cm
frame.
Fiona now spends hours a day working out to maintain that figure and
will now include dance rehearsals to her already hectic exercise
schedule.
Fiona is about to face another battle when she hits the dance floor
with partner Sergei Bolgarskiy for the next series of Dancing with
the Stars.
"It's actually taken me quite a while longer to pick up dance steps,
but Serghei's great. He's really patient with me. When it's really
frustrating and I can't learn something, he can have a laugh and
have a joke and bring the tension down."
Since her departure from The Biggest Loser, Fiona has balanced her
work out schedule with a thriving career in publicity and
television. A sought after face on the A-list party circuit, she has
made it her personal mission to educate other young people about the
virtues of stir-fries rather than french fries!
Fiona now has the world at her feet and has her sights set on the
dance floor.
"Every girl dreams of being on a show like Dancing With The Stars –
glamming up, looking stunning and being taught an amazing skill you
get to keep with you for life!"
Fiona will support Australian Red Cross.
