Now that I have your attention (sorry to mention
the two words together Mae)let me update you on the
Dees night. The best news was Schwarta being made a
life member - he has actually been at the club since
1991 girls. A well-deserved reward for our
boy!
Neale Daniher took us through the "Where to from here?"
speech with the theme Meaner, Tougher, Stronger. Sounds
like Schwarta will have to get all hot and sweaty
doing more weights and stuff. He will probably require
a rub down nurse - anyone interested?
I digress.
The idea is that we have such a young list (only 5
guys over 25 and guess who is one of them?) so they
don't have long term injuries and will fill out as they
mature. This will enable them to play better under
pressure such as the GF and to handle the new expectations
for success we all have. Apparently the Team of the
Century stuff has inspired the current crop to make some
history of their own and ND was continually referencing
2003 as the time when the current players should be at
their peak in terms of experience, size, leadership,
tactical skills etc. He mentioned that we were getting a
fabulous output from the leadership group, including The
Ox, and that we had Wheatley, Whelan, Nathan Brown,
Bruce and Little Macca to bring in to the GF Team. He
also pointed out that we will get more out of Simmonds
and Green as they were belted out (my words) of the
GF early. ND did drop something of a bombshell as he
was saying that Schwarta had somewhere between 1 and
3 years left in him. Perhaps one of you can look
after him be offering him a retirement home?
The
whole night was informative and built on last year. I
suggest that you all make the time next year to go along
- you get a footy fix in November, get to hear the
coach speak openly about what's happening at the footy
level and can get a real sense of where we are heading.
Plus they sell beer. Unfortunately none of the players
turned up. Perhaps if they knew the David Schwarz Zone
group was going to be there in force that may tempt
some (or one in particular) to get there?
If you
have any specific questions, let me know.
The Dee
I didn't make it to the meeting - please tell
all...

I just renewed my membership though... this little
chicky is updating to "Captain's Club" so I don't have
to queue up again for Grand Final tickets when we
WIN THE FLAG IN 2001!!!!
**** swoon ****

Can we please NOT use the
words "naked" and "Schwarz" in the same sentence... I'm
over heating here! Not to mention being overcome by
waves of intense jealousy! Did you at least take some
pics of this wonderful sight for us?
2 !!!!!!

(I had number 2 on my Dee's jumper, even for years after he
retired, until Schwarta came along to capture my heart - and jumper number!)
OK dudes and dudettes - who is going to the
Bentleigh Club to hear Neale, Ando and Joe tell us how good
we are going to be next year? I went last year and
thought it was a great way to get some football contact
in the down season and it proved to be a very
informative night. Neale's explanation for letting Matthew
Bishop go to pick up Stephen Powell was one of the gems
and didn't we get the better of that deal? I am
expecting a full report on how Schwarta is and will report
back on events. Dunno how many sleeps to the Ansett
Cup but it is too many! Go Dees!
I'm so jealous!!!! You saw Schwarta half
naked?????!!!!!!! Ohhhh to be in your shoes!!
Being a country
gal I would have no hope of seeing a training
session, but I can only dream!!
Anyway, thanks for the
update, I really appreciate it. Please keep it
up.

Kelly.
Hi everyone!!
Guess where I went this
morning!!! To the Beach Rd Oval in Sandy!!! Why???? To watch
the DEES first pre-season training session. So, since
me and my two fellow demon fans were the only ones
there, I thought I'd give you all a report about how the
boys looked.
No-one seemed to have put on too much
weight- it was pretty easy to tell as the majority of
them weren't wearing tops!!! YES GIRLS- SCHWARTA WAS
RUNNING WITHOUT A TOP.........AND YOU ALL MISSED IT!!!!!
ALONG WITH WOEY, ROBBO, GREENY, CHELL AND THE REST OF
THEM!!!! IT WAS VERY NICE!!
Little Macca was there
walking laps and occasionally jogging which was a good
sign.
Big Macca didn't train- I presume his knee's
still not right.
Johhno didn't train- as per
usual!!! He was given the job of timing the boys which he
gave to Big Macca after about 5 mins!!!
The
draftees looked great- most of them were at the front of
the running packs- keen to impress i suppose.
Liam
Pickering from Geelong was there- he wasn't training- does
anyone know anything about that??
So, whilst none of
them were too enthused about their first training
session, they all looked pretty fit. I hope this report
has made you all feel better about not seeing the
boys half naked!!! Nah, just kidding, I reckon we're
in for a big year next year. yes, bigger than this
year. I'm ready to take that next step to Premiership
Glory, I'm sure the players and coaches are and have no
doubt that every one of you are pumped and ready to
go!!!!
Good luck with any exams you've got left and have a
great summer dreaming about our first game next year
and that special Saturday in September!!!!!
Catcha
later,
Dianna.
DEES FOR PREMIERS 2001.
When i started my club i did not relize that Mae
had a club so i started my club i love david schwarz
he is my inspiration and helps me achieve everthing
i have done so far he has gone through so much in
his life and has achieved so much i too have gone
through so muc in my life and want to achieve enough
about that i only found Maes club when she sent me an
email to tell me about her web site when i joined
another Dees Club so i am sorry that there are two clubs
but we can all make both clubs fantastic
love
Diane
Hi all,
Got back from QLd last week. Had a
ball!
You know, it's a hard job coping with 29 decgrees
everyday, but someone had to do it!!
Good to see we won
over in London. Did I miss any other major
news??
Kelly
You're being vewy, vewy quiet Daffy about how we
might go about it and what we get out of it. The
concept of another Ox outlet sounds OK but my first love
will always be Mae's site. Do you want to tell us more
so we can make an informed decision?
Congratulations Mae. Your efforts to get us to
respond to the Supporter's Survey has paid off for the Ox
as he has been named as one of the best players on
the AFL over the last ten years. Unfortunately he
only got 1% of the votes which shows what disgraceful
taste other people have. How he was not named as one
the most influential players as well is beyond me as
we should have voted in a block. Probably the
umpires had something to do with it as they don't like
our boy too much and give him nothing. Not to worry,
we won the overseas water football game, even
without the Ox. How much would we have won by if he had
played???????
Hi everyone!

Well I for one am very
annoyed that the Ox isn't playing in the Dee's demo game
in London on Oct 7th (8 sleeps!!!)... why are the
MFC depriving us of this chance to watch our hero in
action? NOT HAPPY JAN!!!

I guess the Ox will still
go over with the boys, as they are all off to
Ireland after the game for their end of season trip...
imagine the fun & games on that trip!

Then
pre-season training starts November 13, which I'm sure the
players are not looking forward to!

I never knew
the Ox was into sailing! And it was amazing how he
was in two races straight after each other, coming
home with the gold in both... can't wait to see him in
action with the other hockey girls tonight!

How
is sunny QLD going Kel?

Cyas!
Mae
MAN that body suit he wore in the women's 400
metre sprint ... made his body compact down to the size
of cathy freeman ... smart move to because they were
then able to use minimum make-up to make him APPEAR
that he WAS Cathy Freeman.... HOW FAST WAS HE ????
VERY BLOODY FAST:-)
Awww, you are making me jealous with the QLD
weather talk! It's actually been ok here, just really
windy - I nearly died of exhaustion riding my bike home
from work tonight - riding against a dusty northerly
is no fun at all :( But I was down at Rosebud on the
weekend and got a tan!

Hrmmm I heard some nasty
goss about Schwarta today, and I'm not sure whether I
should bring it up here or not... It was from a Dee's
email list I am on... Anyway I am totally sure that
it's not true & a total beat up, but here we
go...

We all know how much the Ox loves to bet on the odd
horse :) Well, the rumour is that it's gotten out of
hand, and MFC had to bail him out...

Anyway,
just thought I should pass that on, so that we know
that the rumour is going around, and if we hear it we
can tell people that it's NOT true!

In happier
news, the Ox showed off his skills with the bow and
arrow today, winning yet another gold medal - is there
ANYTHING this man can't do?!?

And in even better
news, the first step of a mega-summer-site-update went
online today - a re-vamped and bigger image gallery!
Hours of fun for the whole
family!!!

http://www.angelfire.com/de/DavidSchwarz/pics.html

Back to
the tv set for me!
Adios
amigos!
Maaaeeeeeee
Is there anything the Ox can't do? His ability to
transform like the cyborg in Terminator 2 is legendary and
the way he is winning all the medals in so many
different sports is testimony to the undoubted talent the
guy has. I am off to Sydney on Thursday for work and
have to attend the evening session at Stadium
Australia on the Sunday night. I will be looking for the Ox
to win the Men's High Jump, The Women's Triple Jump,
etc. etc. Look for me - I will be in the fourth row
right where one of the straights start and wearing my
Demons jumper (I have to admit it is an autographed
Garry Lyon one). I intend to have my picture taken
wearing the jumper at the Olympics and will endeavour to
post it on our site as proof that the Dees also made
the Olympics finals. Go Dees! Go Ox! Go Aussies!
Hi all, arrived in Townville last night to
discover that my luggage didn't make it past Melbourne!!!
So after I let the Ansett person know exactly what I
thought of the whole situation, I left and came to my
sister's to surprise her. (She thought I was coming
tomorrow!!) Anyway, my bag turned up today in a taxi. All
this was after I was told, as I checked my luggage in
that my flight was running over an hour late. So I sat
and watched the olympics on the big screen. Next
minute I hear the final boarding call for my flight,
which happened to be leaving on time!! So I just
managed to make it. So all in all, in was one stuff up
after another by Ansett, and they will be hearing from
me in the next couple of days!!
Other than all of
that, it's good to be in the sun. 28 decgrees
today.
I had to laugh at you all just now as I read my
email. Hasn't the OX done well at the olymipcs???!!! I
guess he's just an all round sporty, babelicious,
talented piece of work!

Keep me updated on any
Dees/Ox news.
Kelly
Hey Don't forget how the FX guys made THE OX look like Michael Diamond ....
didn't realise that the OX was an excellant marksman ANOTHER GOLD FOR THE
OX!!!!!!!!
Yeah, those special effects folks did a wonderful
job disguising THE OX to look just like the Thorpedo
:)

What a week for Schwarta, he gets to light the Olympic
fire, then he wins 2 gold medals and breaks 2 world
records on his first day of competition... LOL!!! Can't
wait to see him run the Women's 400 metres
:P

In football news, I have finally taken down the red
& blue streamers at work, and replaced them with
green and gold ones!

Go Aussie Go!
Mae
Yeah, go Thorpedo, and the rest of the legendary Aussies!!! How exciting are the
Olympics!!!

Thanks for getting rid of the blue background Maester, it's
looking a lot better now!
NOW IF IAN THORPE COULD PLAY AUSSIE RULES AS WELL AS HE SWIMS .... AND IF WE
RECRUITED HIM .... WE WOULD WIN PRENIERSHIP AFTER PREMEIRSHIP.....

GO THORPEDO!!!
Hey How were those special effects artists
....NOBODY but a Demon Supporter would have picked the OX ..
Aren't they clever making the rest of the world think it
was Cathy Freeman .... ( they didn't want to upset
the other AFL teams by letting on who REALLY lit the
torch) .....
hehehehheheheheheheh:-)
No doubt we will get away to a flier at the start
of next year, win plenty in the middle AND have a
nice run into the finals. Better all update to the
Captain's Club or better to ensure the GF tickets!
