Description
Welcome to the KODAK DUO 620 COLLECTORS GROUP! This Group is for anybody with an interest in these fascinating 6 X 4.5 cm format cameras designed by Dr August Nagel and made by the Kodak AG/Nagelwerk of Stuttgart, Germany, between 1933 and 1940. I hope that as time progresses, the Group builds up some interesting and detailed photos, documents and facts to assist collectors old and new.
For a quick guideline, there were three main models of the Duo 620. The first was the "art-deco" Series 1, made from 1933 to mid-1937, which has a very attractive combination of black paint and nickel-plating. That was replaced by the Series 11 non-CRF model in mid-1937, which is slightly taller and heavier due to a remote shutter release in the top-cover, and has satin-chromed finish. In September 1939 the last model, the Series 11 CRF, was introduced unfortunately at the same time as the outbreak of WW2 in Europe. Total known production of all models was 81,000 with only 2,000 of the Series 11 CRF.
Naturally, this Group is also open to "users" of the Kodak Duo 620. Although the 620 film that the Duo 620 used is no longer easily available, I would like to hear from anybody who can offer assistance on modifying 120 film to 620 reels for example, or any other ways of coming up with useable film. Naturally I would especially like to see photos (both old and new) posted that were taken with Duo 620 cameras.
Please feel free to post questions, relevant photos, adverts and documents on the subject of the Duo 620 camera. You may also post about such cameras and related items for sale or wanted, but do not list other general stuff as this Group is intended to be purely about the Duo 620 and not a general vintage camera group.
I have made the group "restricted" to avoid the inevitable nuisance spam that open groups attract.

Re: Duo filter size
Hi Pete, Thanks for keeping an eye out for a filter for me. I really appreciate it. I'm wondering if the Kodak Retina didn't have the same filter size too?
