Classic falcon spares might have them but they're pricey at about
$420..

Should probably be about 120 each but you would have to ring
pilkington and see what they say go straight to pilkington dont use
a glazing shop they will charge an arm and a leg.
Im thinking of doing the same to my panel van going to use xf
electric window mechanisms with holden vn arms welded on and use the
slides on the bottom of the glass of a vt or later commodore the
problem with xf one are that they need a hole through the glass and
the pins that hold the arms to the glass often fall out.

Thanks JP gives me something to go on. The main tailgate switch in
mine is stuffed but I'm sure one out of a later model wagon would do
the same job.

Toby,
Last year, found a complete setup on Ebay and paid around $450.
Included diagrams, photos for installation, wiring looms, switches,
everything. I guess it all depends on how good a mate he is!! (The
more he pesters, just add another $50)

G'day all, I have an electric tailgate setup from a squire wagon that
a mate of mine has been pestering me to sell him for ages. I'm having
a clean up at the moment & I've decided to sell it to him.
Any ideas how much its worth? Its got most of the wiring and all the
switches, bezel etc. I can't imagine that theres many of these about
any more.

If you make a template of the shape you want, make it out of 3mm mdf
or ply but remember any saw or file marks will be on the edge of the
glass when it is made they use a laser to trace the shape.
Once that is done take it to your local pilkington store or shp it to
them write on the template where you want the Aust standards stamp and
how many pieces of glass you want made and that you want it toughened.
Dont use laminated glass they will crack. We get windows made for

I have been e-mailed by a bloke in Victoria, can anyone help out ?

"I live in victoria and own a xm falcon, at the
moment im changing over my 2 speed fordomatic and standard motor for
a 3
speed borg warner 35 auto and what i think is a 221 motor.

At first i thought the motor was a 250 pre x flow,(it also has the
emmisions pipe going from the top of the rocket cover into the
manifold)
but when i went to put the drive plate on the crank the bolt pattern
was
smaller than the drive plate off a 250.

The bolt pattern is the same as a standard crank off a 170
motor.But
this motor did not fit the standard fordomatic gearbox so thats why i
thought it was a 250, but the 250 drive plate doesnt fit so now im
thinking its a 221, what do you think?

The motor bolts onto the borg warner 35 no probs, all i need is the
right
drive plate. Also can you tell me if any modifications are needed
(apart
from the cross member) to fit a borg warner 35 three speed auto into
the
xm falcon. The reason i ask is because it looks considerably bigger
than
the standard 2 speed fordomatic box.

Im in a little bit of a pickle at the moment so any advice you can
give
me is really appreciated!

  Thanks a lot,
  Dominic

Guys, you need to look at the circuit diagram, there is a circuit breaker in the
headlight switch to protect the wiring , it has a predetermined current rating,
it was capable of handling the current for the old sealed beams, but wont cope
with the halogens, you need a relay on both high and low beam, that way the
circuit breaker is only dealing with the current to the coils of the relays, not
the headlights, but you still need to put suitable protection devices in the
positive feed to the headlights from the battery, if there is a fault in that
wiring without it, its very likely the battery will explode. honest john
