Dancers of Argentine Tango and other street latin dances in the Manawatu, New Zealand.

Dante was born in Peru, and has danced traditional salsa since he was 6.
Linda is from the Netherlands and learned to dance Tango in Wellington from teachers that regularly travel to Argentina.
They met in Wellington (at Latino's) and are married, with a young daughter.
They came to the Manawatu in 2005 and found that although there was Salsa, that no Tango events were available, so started up their own dances.
They are teaching Sunday afternoons from May 1st 2011, at Square Edge, 4-5pm salsa and related dances, with a small practica, 5-6pm Tango .

Dante says:' Tango is moving with style and passion.
Linda says:' We feel dancing should be for fun, not stressful. We try to teach everyone at their own speed, and give each person as much individual attention as necessary. We aim for friendly, informative and fun classes.'

OE Cafe at Square Edge has offered us a monthly dance space with them, they will charge us $5 pp and give us a drink and use of the dancefloor in return. As well as that they serve great food, drinks and desserts. We will have the first one of these on the 28th of April 2012, the last Saturday of the month, barring unforeseen circumstances. Be there at 7.30pm for a beginners lesson in Salsa and Tango, and then groove the night away with us.

Paula and Richard from Tango Abrazo have started up classes in Palmerston North for close embrace dancing, a favourite with more experienced dancers. They have a regular Sunday Practica.
