A group for English speakers learning German, or German speakers learning English. We will be translating books from German to English, discussing the vocabulary and grammar as we go.

The first book to be attempted will be 'Gut gegen Nordwind,' by Daniel Glattauer. The text and audiofiles of the first chapter have already been posted, but it is not too late to join in at page 1.

Note that there are no formal requirements for how much translation everyone does, but some degree of active participation is absolutely necessary for continued membership. Lurkers will be queried and culled.
