An axle and tow bar attachable to the boat would be brilliant. Let me know if you have gone any further than wondering, please. We have just bought a telescoping trailer for Elementarry, with the capacity to tip it over to insert the masts on a breezy day. Cost $1,500, anything cheaper and easier would be great.

Rob

Much work has gone into the designs for keeping the weight down for
sailing but trailers to get the boats in the water are a fair way
down in sophistication. I was wondering if it was worth building a
trailer partly out of composites and integrate the structure of the
boat into trailing stiffness and strength to avoid having to get a
bigger vehicle.
About berthing. If the berth is to ww you could crab up with shallow
shunts either ww hull to berth or if unstayed lw hull to berth and
the sails aback. If berth to lw then drop sails and slide in sideways
with fine control of the rudders. If the wind is ll to the wharf
then, as most of the lateral resistance is in the foils, it should
bea able to sail directly in sideways.
My concern is when there is a decent current and little wind. Then
you need the motor
