G'day,
I have ben thinking about shallow water sailing as I am in Darwin with
some very nice areas that occasionally shoal out. A beach cat type proa
with a schooner rig should be able to steer and shunt without any foils
in the water. This would be an advantage over the present beach cats
and allow steering from the outrigger Obviously it would have more
leeway but it could still work to windward enough to get you from A to
B. A Hobie 16 hull with two unstayed windsurfer rigs and an outrigger
and you're away
