Re: [harryproa] KSS / Harryproa

G'day,

We are able to offer plans for any boat in the range within a couple of weeks of receiving a deposit.  Eventually all of them will be available for KSS, as should all the plans of all multihull designers.   KSS plans will be sold at a premium (not sure how much yet), but it will be more than made up for by the material and time savings.

We have kept our enthusiasm and photos under wraps so as not to diminish the magazine article's impact, but the more we do with KSS, the more we like it.  Mark and Ken shaped and glassed the second half of the lee hull before lunch the other day.  Perfectly fair.  They then set the hull up and placed the deck on it, a perfect fit with no additional work required for the join, thanks to the deck edge radius. Derek is currently 'doing' the windward hull, it will be interesting to see what shapes he can and cannot achieve.   He apparently has also made another big improvement in the KSS system.  Should be unveiled at the August workshop.

The tri floats should be an excellent way of testing your set up and knowledge after the workshop.

Let me know which Harry you are interested in and we can discuss your options.

regards,

Rob

Hello Rob,
Now that you have tried the KSS method do you have plans in the next
year or two to design a Harryproa and offer plans for construction
using the KSS method of construction ?

I will be attending the Loveland, CO workshop in September and am vary
interested in building a new boat using this method and have plans to
build replacement float hulls for my TT 720 to gain experience in this
method before starting a new boat. I have also built a Seacliper 28,
but the Harryproa looks really inviting the more I study it !
