Description

The International Australians Yahoo Group has been created to ashare information about the issues of being an Australian Expatriate (an Australian living overseas) or an Australian Repatriate (an Australian who has lived overseas and has now returned to Australia).

Established by Sue Ellson from Newcomers Network http://www.newcomersnetwork.com/australia/expatriates (Australia's first network for newcomers) on 11 December 2004, it is an extension of the Newcomers Network Australian Expatriates and Repatriates Mailing List (subscribe by emailing enews at newcomersnetwork.com). The mailing list only receives 'major' news items.

If you are a migrant or intending migrant to Australia, please join either http://groups.yahoo.com/group/newcomersnetwork/ and/or http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AustraliaNZMigrate/

This International Australians Yahoo Group receives a copy of all of the material we find (for archive purposes), but it will also give you an opportunity to discuss the issues in the articles.

Spouses, partners and children of Australians, academics, advocates, service providers, researchers and the media are all welcome. Posts off topic will be deleted. Membership needs to be 'approved' so that we can reduce the risk of unwanted posts. When you join, please briefly introduce yourself and tell the moderator:

Which country you were born in:
If you are an Expatriate (living outside of your country of birth):
If you are a Repatriate (you have returned to your country of birth):
Which countries you have lived in for more than three months:
Anything else you would like to share: (like skills, industry, if you are job hunting or an academic, service provider etc)

Keywords: Australia, Australian, Australians, overseas, international, worldwide, expatriate, expatriates, expats, expat, repatriation, repatriates, repats, repat, repatriation, leave, return, brain drain, brain gain, forecast, future, opportunities
