I have a question regarding the above locomotive. What is the reason for the
sound pipes on
the front unit. I am in the process of building a kit of the 60 class loco.

Hi Jim, I'm Mike the groups owner. Because the locomotives are so long and noisy, crews had troubles hearing the detonators going off to warn them of workers...
