The Otago Tree Society aims to foster an appreciation of trees in the environment and to encourage wise tree planting, the right tree in the right place.

We aim to promote awareness of the aesthetic historic and economic values of trees in both urban and rural areas.

We aim to protect trees from waste and thoughtless destruction by encouraging regenerative planting to counter erosion and encourage bird life.

We aim to provide education and advice by experts.

We aim to constantly improve legislation, policies and practices for the protection of trees, in the presant and future interests of our Community
