I called the GEERS hotline, and was given "I can't give you any
advice".

The woman then gave me a number for the Legal Aid Advice Line: 1800
677 402 - but it doesn't work!!! (also tried 18006[6]7402 and 18006774
[8]2)

Security note:
When you call, you sometimes get an answering machine. When "they"
call back, they sometimes want to verify your details.

Be cautious ... this is an unknown person calling from an unknown
location, and they might NOT be from GEERS at all.

The only known solutions are:
1. Take their name and ring them back on 1300135040 (don't accept
any direct numbers). Pray you don't get their answering machine.
Then ask for the person, then go ahead with verification.
-- OR --
2. Whenever you get their answering machine, leave the usual
details, AND THEN GIVE A RANDOM NUMBER (eg train ticket serial
number) and make it clear that they must quote it back to you.
