People,
I have just fired the letter below off to DEWR. If you received a letter as
I did, I suggest you do the same. Use mine as a starting point.

Subject: GEERS claim from Open Telecommunications staff
Hello,
I refer to your letter to me, dated 6 January 2003, about my claim for
assistance under GEERS which was received by your office on 9 September
2002.
In your letter, you state:
"We are, however, experiencing some delays in gathering and processing
information in relation to your case."
I would like to know exactly what these "delays" are. It has been three
months now since your office received the claim, and OpenTel called in the
administrators in July last year. So, it has been six months since I, and
the rest of the staff at Open Telecommunications, have been without our
legally entitled payments!
Will you be paying us interest for the delay on payment? My credit cards are
amounting interest waiting for these funds to be cleared to me, and I'm sure
my bank will not accept an excuse from me about "experiencing delays..."
====== Two paragraphs about the Deloittes "administration" removed from this
public email. If you would like to read what I wrote, email me privately
======
Please reply with a DETAILED explanation of the current situation, not a
generic form letter.
Sincerely,
Steve Gerlach
