Development Manager
A leading edge, small/medium telecommunications firm situated on the city
fringe, provide innovative interactive solutions to leading companies across
Australia and internationally.
You will need to be a motivated and outcome-focused individual with proven
experience in managing the development process in medium to large projects. This
role would provide you with a diverse range of challenges that require
perseverance and experience across many varied technologies.
To be considered for this opportunity you must be a "hands on" highly
experienced and driven individual.
You will be responsible for the management and mentoring of a small group
of approximately 6-8 software engineers. Added to this they are seeking someone
who has come from a strong process driven background and you will need to be
able to put into place recognised development methodologies and processes (i.e.
RUP, OOA&D, etc) you will need to be experienced with the full SDLC, have good
architecture skills/knowledge and be the technical lead.
This role needs to have a good understanding of Software Development
Lifecycles, Release Management, Defect Management and other aspects of software
development. Project planning and the ability to deliver to plan are also
required.
Interfacing with customers as a point of escalation for serious problems
and issues management is required. Excellent communications skills and
experience in managing customer expectations is critical to the role.
