On becoming aware that ophthalmologists were unaware of our concerns
and also the documentation (where have we heard that before?) a
letter was sent to ALL the registered ACES ophthalmologists with two
submissions to the ANKC enclosed for their information. (Namely the
Assessment by the Tas Collie and Sheltie Club, and the submission by
the South Australian Labrador Club). Copies were also sent to each
Canine Council, Hugh Gent ANKC, Karin Hedberg, Chair National Health
Committee, the AVA and to the ACCC.

The letter was signed by several different clubs. Because we were in
a hurry to get this letter to the ophthalmologists before their
conference in August, were were unable to ask every club if they
wished to add this voice to this letter. However if you do, then
please do not hesitate to write to Dr Robinson and inform him of this.
