Hi Everyone,
Have you seen Evies new photos? Great work Evie. I love everything
that you've done. Putting me to shame.
Seeing as how I'm so busy lately I was going to try and get into the
shed to see what I could start on but now it's getting too cold to
stay out there. Bummer
Anyway keep up the good work Evie. You know these things make great
presents or you could sell them on Ebay. :>)
Hi OZ"S. just had to come and look at the photo albums too. lesley your
cross's are awsom. I really love the fancy cross. nice work.
while I was here, thought I would add 3 more to my album. these are my
last 3 projects. the frame , was a mirror pattern buy John Nelson. I
added a baker board and painted it red to bring out the fret work. and
put some small molding around the picture part, to hold some glass and
photos. thats my hubby and his fishing buddys. the other mirror I made
for my hubbys bath room. talk to you all latter. your friend Evie.from
the USA. :)
thank you Lesley. that just made my day. :) believe it or not the dragon was
not to hard to do. but the first time I tryed . I had some bad plywood with
voids inside. so I got some new ply wood, better. and it cut out pretty nice.
.hope you can get back to your saw soon. your friend Evie

Most of you will have noticed my photos are listed as pyrography but
there's one one picture there that's of pyrography. The rest of them
are of jigsaw puzzles for kids and there are two patterns for Crosses.
Just so's you know. LOL
Lesley
Just been in to have a look at the new photos. Must say I haven't
been in here for quite awhile. But Evie's fretwork is great. The
dragon my husband did a similar one about five years ago just before
he got sick.
I was going to try and do one myself but haven't got around to it yet.
Bye for now,
Lesley
Hi Evie,
All the pictures I posted are in the Scrollsaw group they are pictures of the
wooden jigsaws I made and I think there are some celtic crosses in there too.
Regards,
Lesley
PS: Good news about your husband.

G'day Evie,
Sorry haven't been in touch lately. I seem to have gone right out of Scroll
Sawing these days since my hubby got emphysema and what with work and all and
looking after him my time is really not my own.
I should try to get into the scroll saw section from time to time to see
what's happening.
I used to do a lot of jigsaw puzzles and silhouettes and put them into the
local craft shop in our town but seeing as how sales have been slow lately I
just haven't had the inclination to do anything else at the moment.
But please, keep in touch anyway.
Regards,
Lesley.

Evie,
Not doing much for the holidays, just spending a few days with the
family.
I do like to scroll when I find the time, but with work and other
things its hard to get on the saw sometimes. Currenly making and
thinking of some things for our National scroll event that is coming
up next year. I always plan to make things for Christmas but never get
organised in time.
Yep I guess we can keep talking in here, it might bring the people
back out of the woodwork.

Thanks for replying Brett. Guess every one is busy. now. But maybe after
Christmas. we could livein it up a bit.IM glad to be here. What you doing, for
the
holladays?do you scroll much. I love to give gifts. but I rely hate the
holidays just to much. To do, and no time for myself. I'm a scrooge hahah. after
its all and done, I am glad I did what I did. But sure will be glad to get back
to the fretwork, I love to do. as a hobby. I have many things, lined up to
cut. lots of wall shelves. And clocks. I hope this group gets going, for I sure
would like to talk to folks across the world. I just think its a hoot. to do
that. Meeting people across the world, that loves wood work like I do and
getting there input, would mean a lot to me, and a lot of others here in the
USA. I
bet there is some of your readers that would love to contribute. but just
don't know what to say. anyway Brett.. sending my happy wishes to you all. from
your new friend Evie

Hi everyone,
I was interested in a product I heard about recently, that works with
wood warpage. I know little about it other than that. I wondered if
anyone has heard of it or knows where I would find the info. I am
constantly haveing problems with warped wood. So if this is a usable
product it would be handy.
THanks
kerrie
G'day everyone,
Here's hoping everyone and their families have a great Christmas and New Year
from Lesley in Western Australia.

Hi Evie,
yes I down- loaded the patterns and the kids loved them. They have
just been bought a GMC scrollsaw no variable speed pin blades so they
are doing really well. I have just given them a blade changing device
so there saw can take plain blades, so they should find that a little
easier. I am enoying helping them. Any beginner patterns you see that
you think some young kids would like to scroll let me know.
Thanks
kerrie
