VorpalCon, a new roleplaying convention in Adelaide, is currently in the
final stages of preparation. To be held over the Australian Rules Football
Grand Final weekend, VorpalCon will have an interesting selection of
ccg's, LARPs, roleplaying games, and war games.
Held at the Old Adelaide Gaol, the venue is larger than last year's
VorpalCon games day and includes on-site accommodation, easy access to the
Adelaide CBD, friendly faces and the promise of good food! There's even
an on-site ghost tour available for those not of the feint of heart...
VorpalCon is organised by many of the same people who have hosted
Adelaide's A/V (Audio/Visual) Anime Con. Currently final preparations for
the convention are under way, and any final submissions for games and
events can still be made by interested Gamers in the Adelaide scene.
The hope is to run an intimate convention that can be built upon over the
next few years. So come experience local talent in the unique, some would
say idyllic and church-ridden locale that is Adelaide (warmer than
Melbourne, friendlier than Sydney and closer than Perth!)
