Hi Cindy,
Have a look at www.surveymonkey.com
. This tool allows you to ask up to 10 questions for free and provides a
good collation of the results at the end.
Next you need to consider:
1. What
is the aim of your survey
2. The
most relevant questions to elicit meaningful answers (a combination of open and
closed questions ie yes/no responses vs free text comments)
3. Test
the survey on some fellow students/colleagues
4. Who
do you want to survey, how many, what is an acceptable response rate
5. Prepare
a good introductory email with your survey and distribute with a closing date
Often it is useful to the participants if you distribute your
findings and final paper. This provides a bit of an incentive to be
involved.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Chris

Subject: [qkm] How to do an online survey in KM
Hello everybody,
I have just joint this mailing list of QKM discussion
forum. As an international student, I am pursuing the DBA program at SCU,
Australia. My topic is in the area of KM and Competitive
Advantage and I am thinking of the possiblity to do an online survey for
my data collection. My key informants should be senior executives at
organisations with a sample of about 300 usable responses.
If anyone of you has suggestions of how to do such an online
survey, please share with me. Thank you so much for your attention.
Best regards,
Cindy
