this morning I was asked by our international marketing department to find out
what would be
required to meet quality certification requirements for exporting into an Asian
country - I had
never heard of this particular certification quality mark before - but had dealt
with similar systems
in other countries

so I called up the wiki pages I'd created for similar queries in the past, to
develop my information
gathering approach - then googled a lot - so came up with some perspectives

then created a new wiki page for this latest inquiry based on the information I
had within the first
half day

and next I contacted Asian based people in my company's global quality
management system
community of Practice that I had established 2 years ago

outcome .. 4 virtually instant responses from our company's Asian sites - 2
confirming what I
thought and then arranging to access other team members within our global
organization

similar help was given me from Asia in Oct-December 2008 on a similar inquiry -
when we
needed the certification to win a $1 million export order - with possibly more
to follow

I am eternally greatful that way back in 2000 that Laurence Lock Lee (then with
CSC and now
with Optimice consultants) got me to utilise COP's

absolutely fabulous stuff
