QueerTas is Tasmania's Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex email group.
Its purpose is to provide an efficient and easily accessible means for GLBTI Tasmanians to promote new and existing events, share ideas; and access info on queer services and support groups, queer news, accommodation, or any other issues that relate to Tassie's queer community.
Membership to the group is open and you can either join via email (just send a blank email to queertas-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.au ), or, if you are a yahoo subscriber, on this website, http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/queertas.
(To become a yahoo subscriber simply go to 'Join This Group' at the top of the page and follow the links: it does take a little time, but the advantages are that you will then be able to edit your membership settings, post messages from the website and access the message archives.)
As QueerTas is a moderated list there will be a short delay before messages are sent out while they are read by a Moderator: generally a Moderator will approve messages daily (these are then sent as a Daily Digest), but we suggest you allow for a delay of up to 2-3 days.
If you want to stay in touch with what's a-happening in Tassie's queer community, or if you have a question, or an idea, or an event to promote, become a member - start writing those emails!!!
