Re: [scooteroo] Today's fun and games...
Hi all
What a ride on Sunday - I had forgotten how cool that autumn breeze can be ... bbrrrrr! - thankyou all for the laughs and conversation and riding tips for cold weather. John, I hope you got most things sorted on Sunday and there is no way anyone would have left you stranded. Hope to see you and Clair on the next ride (by the way who's getting which Vespa now?)
Dennis and Gaile, following on from our conversation on Sunday, you can use this email addie or
Kerry.62@... when one of those opportunities arise.
Im sure there are plenty of scooterists out there that would love to do more riding but not sure where to start so has anyone thought anymore of a meet and greet date and where?
If not, I would like to start the ball rolling and putting forward Sunday 24th or 31 May (if there is nothing in the scooteroo calender) from 10:30 at Sugo Mi on Oxford Street Bulimba...... there is plenty of parking at the back of the shops and side streets off Oxford. If anyone wants a ride out after this perhaps feel free to organise it amongst those who turn up.
For those thinking about coming along for a meet and greet and havent been on a ride, rest assured we are of all age groups, backgrounds, own and ride different makes and models of scooters and bikes and have riders who are highly experienced right through to those who only just starting out.
I look forward to the next run and seeing more scooterists join in as well as the usual smiling faces
Safe riding!
Kerry

Hey John!
It was great meeting you at the Mt Glorious breaky run; but so sad to hear about your cute, little 150 Super giving up on the way home…I think I remember us prophetically discussing the possibility of you getting a box-ready replacement engine for her as she was already showing signs of reduced performance on the way up the hill.
Anyway…Gaile and I will look forward to our next meeting (…and to again seeing all you other nice folks), after you’ve sorted things out.
Cheers,
Dennis

Subject: [scooteroo] Today's fun and games...
I went on today's breaky run to Mt Glorious and being a new member on my first event, I was made to feel very welcome by all of those that attended.
On the way back from breaky on Mt Nebo Road my vintage Vespa unfortunately expired and is facing a possible engine rebuild.
I want to thank Kerry, (i'm sorry unsure of name ???) and Deb for stopping and kindly assisting with trying to get a recovery vehicle.
I am very grateful for the lift back to the servo and I've now got the Vespa home.
I will hopefully be able get the Vespa back on the road quickly and will definetaly be attending future events.
Thanks again,
John
