Plug cap was just hanging on.
At the time I was vying for my 2nd win of the day in the final race , & was in the lead against main contestant Tony with Jason very close behind us.
I possibly had it in the bag until the bike coasted to a ghostly halt!
After a few excruciating time-wasting seconds of attempts at kick starting the bike into life I maybe heard the fellow competitior passers-by yells of, "PLUG LEAD!!!", & looked down there & re-fitted the lead to finish the race well down in the placings, but taking 2nd place overall for the day against winner Tony, & 3rd Jason.
Shel's plug cap had to be exchanged for a newy, too, as it was spluttering on Saturday. She sat Sunday out.
Had the trailer parked at an awkward angle on Saturday which made the bike ground out on the ramp.....must have been this that knocked it loose.
Had a turnout of 11 on Sunday. New face was Jake Dolan, the 2007 Le Minz Solo Winner & World Record Holder. Jake somehow had a tangle with iScooter Sean. Gladly no one hurt.
Jason's Red Devil (50cc) is scarily fast. Snapping at me & Tony's heels all the way. That's me on a 70, & Tony on 210cc 2-stroke!
Tony's rear tyre was well & truly chewed up.
My Savas worked well for me. Messed with the pressure on the front to try to get it less twitchy....had a few moments here & there. Think my biggest hurdle is finding some peace with The Crest. Front-end is behaving much better. Oh yeah, I did have one grass tracking excursion in Turn 1....got jostled by the bumps at the entry, & didn't have enough left after that distraction to do the corner.
K-Star's debut JiverRaptor needed some fine tuning through the day. His bike acuired some battle scars from a lose on the S's. Some further transmission & carbi tuning will be bringing Craig up in the field pretty quickly.
iScooter Sean & Tim were having a fair ding dong battle. Sean with super sticky slicks.
Ben's Mini Hulk with slicks had it's debut, too. Some suspension tuning looks like 1st on order. I can see this one coming to fruition.....dunno....it's got that look about it that says this bike is meant to go fast.
TGB Rob was out there, mixing it, & hopefully he wasn't too taxed with his sons' pocket bike problems.
Paul was on the Super 9, & somehow contorted his body upon Ben's Mini Hulk for a ride while Ben got his Need For Speed fix on the Super 9.
All in all: fun at the track.
Some pics of Sunday are here . Enjoy.
