got the coils in the correct place now. still have ignition problems which
suggest ignitor fault or short circiut.

Will follow wiring

thanks again your help has canceled some unknowns!

Cheers
Luke

OK. With the coils, running from left to right. Coil 1 (left)
Orange/White trace, White. This coil runs cyl 4, 1. Coil 2 (right)
Orange/White trace, Black/Yellow trace. This coil runs cyl 2, 3.

Igniter. Now this is harder to describe. If we take the clip part of
the plug to represent the top then the wiring is as follows. For the
small plug top row is Brown, Green/WHite trace. Second row is
Black/White trace, blank( this matches your plug apart from the
missing black). Bigger plug top row is White, Blank, Orange/White
trace. Second row is Black/Yellow trace, Blank, Black/White trace.

From all that I would assume that Orang/WHite is the positive feed to
both coils and White is the negative trigger forCoil 1 and
Black/Yellow is the negative trigger for coil 2. The others would be
grounds, feeds and crank signal.

hope this helps
Scott
